The Book of Matthew

  The Book of Matthew begins the inter-relation of the four gospels. In Matthew we find the Lord presented as Yahveh's King. In Mark we find the Lord presented as Jehovah's Servant. In Luke we find the Lord presented as Jehovah's Man. In John we find the Lord presented as Yahveh Himself. We will also find the proclamation of the King and the Kingdom and the rejection of the Kingdom and the Crucifixion of the King. The Gospel of Matthew (according to Matthew) is one of the four Gospel accounts of the New Testament that narrates an account of the life and ministry of Jesus, from his genealogy to his post-resurrection commissioning of his Apostles to "go and make disciples of all nations." Bibles traditionally print Matthew as the first gospel, followed in order by Mark, Luke and John. Authorship is traditionally ascribed to Matthew the Evangelist.

Matthew 1

 1The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. These are the ancestors of Christ, a descendant of King David and Abraham. The Old Testament speaks of this in (II Samuel 7:12-13).

 2Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren; Begat meaning the father of.

 3And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

 4And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;

 5And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

 6And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; Note: Christ's genealogy did not come through Solomon as many would believe.

 7And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

 8And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;

 9And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;

 10And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;

 11And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: This would be the time of the exile to Babylon.

 12And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel; This would be after the exile.

 13And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

 14And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

 15And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

 16And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Mary being the mother of Jesus Christ the Messiah. (Mary's genealogy can be found in Luke 1:5-36) Matthew also wants us to see that Jesus is the promised Royal Messiah and Davidic King. He receives His royal birthright through Joseph, "the husband of Mary," and a "descendant of King David." Note: Joseph was only the father of Jesus by adoption. (Luke 3:23), "as was supposed" the son of Joseph. As was supposed meaning by law or in-law.

 17So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. Three periods in this place.

 18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. On the wise meaning this is how it happened.

 19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. Joseph was not going to marry her because of what happened.

 20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. The angel explained to Joseph what had happened.

 21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Yashua Messiah, Yahaveh Savior.

 22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, This would fulfill God's message through His prophets.

 23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. This should answer any questions about Jesus being God.

 24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: Joseph new then that Marry conceived by the Holy Spirit and did what the angel commanded, and brought Marry home to be his wife.

 25And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Marry remained a virgin until her child was born and Joseph named Him Jesus. You can read more on the true birth of Christ and the course of Abia in appendix 179b.

Matthew 2

 1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Bethlehem meaning "House of Bread."

 2Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. This was written in the Old Testament (Numbers 24:17).

 3When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. He became disturbed because of the rumors throughout Jerusalem of the birth of Christ.

 4And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. Herod wanted them to search the scriptures.

 5And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, The prophet Micah. (Micah 5:2).

 6And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. That governor being Christ.

 7Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. He wanted to know the time frame when they first saw the star appear. His time frame to destroy.

 8And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. Not Herod's God. He didn't want to worship Christ, he just wanted to find out where he was.

 9When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. This was a divine intervention by Almighty God!

 10When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. Wouldn't you be rejoicing? Wow! To be there in the presents of the Christ Child.

 11And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. The three wise-men. Know one knows the exact number of wise-men that were present, but (3) was determined by most because of the three gifts mentioned.

 12And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. They were not going to reveal nothing to Herod, they were all warned not to in a dream. God is always in control.

 13And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. I believe this was the same angel that warned the wise-men in their dream. Again, Devine guidance by God.

 14When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt.

 15And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Written in the Old Testament (Numbers 24:8, Hosea 11:1).

 16Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. Herod was furious that the wise-men did not obey him. Then he sent his soldiers to kill every boy child two year of age and under. 

 17Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying; (Jeremiah 31:15-17, Genesis 35:18), Rachel died giving birth to the last of the twelve Patriarchs.

 18In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not. Screams from the region of Rama and Rachel weeping for her children.

 19But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

 20Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

 21And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

 22But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: Archelaus meaning prince of the people.

 23And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. Written in the Old Testament and spoken of as a type in (Judges 13:5). Nazareth was known to be where more of the low-life would live. Thus the old saying; "Nothing good could come from Nazareth." But, one would come from Nazareth that would be the Savior of the world.

Matthew 3

 1In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, John was about 30 years old at this time.

 2And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. His message was for man to repent, (have a change of heart and life).

 3For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Isaiah the prophet spoke of John's ministry centuries before in the Old Testament (Isaiah 40:3)

 4And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. 

 5Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, People from Jerusalem, the Jordan valley and every section of Judea went out to the wilderness to hear him preach.

 6And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. People confessed their sins and John baptized them. He was straight forward with God's Word.

 7But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? He was speaking of the Kenites (Son's of Cain) who pretended to be Jews but were not; rather from the synagogue of Satan.

 8Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: Prove you are not a false shepherd by your good teachings and deeds.

 9And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. Don't think you are going to get by saying you are Jews-descendants of Abraham. (Abraham meaning father of many nations).

 10And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Remember that God is that consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29)

 11I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Again God is that consuming fire. The Holy Spirit can warm you, but can also destroy evil.

 12Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. This is the separating time for Christians. The ones who can and the ones who cannot. God wants can do type Christians, not a bunch of wimps that will just wither in the wind. (Fan used here in the Greek is "Ptuon" a winnowing fork; as scattering like a spittle). A thrashing to separate the good from the bad.

 13Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. This seemed very strange to John.

 14But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? John did not want to do it. He figured that he needed to be baptized of Christ. He could not figure out why Jesus wanted to be baptized. But Christ was baptized as an example for us to follow. That is why we should be baptized.

 15And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. Jesus submits to John's baptism because He wanted to do what was right. Again, another example for us to follow.

 16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: He received a special anointing of the Holy Spirit. The dove being symbolic of the Holy Spirit. (The dove is also used as a symbol of peace, because a dove brought to Noah a bough of an olive-tree as a sign that the deluge of wrath was at an end).

 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. So pleased because He was perfect in every way.

Matthew 4

 1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Christ will set the example of what will happen to us by being tempted by Satan in our everyday life.

 2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. Christ was hungered. Forty here means probation, just as we are all on probation in this life.

 3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Satan being that tempter and he would tempt Christ with scripture.

 4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Christ would also use scripture to fight off Satan as another example to us. This scripture that Christ used "man shall not live by bread alone" is written in Deuteronomy 8:3.

 5Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 

 6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Satan is tempting God! What Satan is quoting here is from Psalms 91:11-12, but he twist the scripture just a little bit. Compare the two scriptures and see if you can find the fault in what Satan is saying. Remember that Satan is a scripture lawyer and he knows the scriptures, but he loves to trip people up with the Word, just enough to throw them off from the truth.

 7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Never tempt God to show someone He exists.

 8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 

 9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. This proves that they were Satan's to give. He is the prince of the air and can offer you a lot of things of the world if you except them.

 10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Christ wanted no part of what Satan could offer.

 11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. Satan had no choice but to go because Christ has all authority over him. This was the beginning of Christ's ministry.

 12Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; John was delivered up, just as we may also be delivered up in the end times.

 13And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: 

 14That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 

 15The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; As written in Isaiah 9:1-2, that light that would shine would be Jesus Christ. Isaiah 9:6-7 that light would be the Christ child to be born and He would be called Wonderful, Counsellor (Holy Spirit), The Mighty God (Everlasting Father), The Prince of peace (Jesus Christ). The full Godhead! This would fulfill that part of His ministry that started.

 16The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. As a type written in Ezekiel 37, (the valley of dry bones). Christ gives us life through His Word.

 17From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He took up John the Baptist ministry to repent.

 18And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 

 19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Jesus didn't make no big ritual out of this like man always does. He simply said "follow me" and they became disciples of Christ. When you receive His calling to serve, then serve... No man can give this to you!

 20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. They immediately follow Him.

 21And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. Again no revival or rituals of men. Just follow me!

 22And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him. Follow His example when He touches your heart, not traditions or doctrines of men.

 23And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

 24And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

 25And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan. His fame and reputation was growing; but not like man's. He was the real thing!

Matthew 5

 1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: Christ is going into the beatitudes to teach His disciples.

 2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

 3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Meaning the humble in spirit.

 4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. They mourn by knowing the truth and seeing what others of the world are into. Mourn for the lost and unlearned.

 5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Again we are speaking of the humble in spirit.

 6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Those who are well fed with the truth, not traditions of men. If you study God's Word you will be filled.

 7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Those who are compassionate towards others.

 8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Those who are pure in mind. Seeing is knowing His Word.

 9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Those who strive for peace and peace of mind in this troubled world.

 10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Persecuted for teaching God's Word. Never worry if you are teaching the truth of His Word, because God will take care of you.

 11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. When you teach the truth of God's Word, you will be talked about and falsely accused. People will look for every fault they can against you.

 12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Don't let it bother you and continue to teach the truth. Remember that there were many before you who were persecuted for the same thing.

 13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Your salt is in your teachings. If your salt looses it's flavor it is worthless. Such as false teachers! If you are salty with the Word, it will help people. Satan uses sugar to puff-up men. You are such a great teacher he may say, then pride sets in.

 14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. You are to be that shining light, so just keep planting seeds.

 15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Keep absorbing the Word of Christ and you will be that light to others.

 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Let others see your good works, for your good works are the only things you can take with you. They are your rewards in heaven! (Revelation 14:13)

 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Don't let any man tell you that there is no more law of God. Only the statutes and ordinances were done away with, but the law of God still stands. And that includes the ten commandments!

 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. What is law stays law!

 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Teach the truth of God's Word and quit listening to man's ways of doing things.

 20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. There is more to it than just believing. Don't be led astray by false teachings and traditions of men! You either believe all of God's Word or not.

 21Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: Here is a very common misinterpreted scripture. Under the law of Moses the rule was, 'If you murder, you must die. This is also the 6th commandment of God. (Deuteronomy 5:17) If you take the word "kill" back to the Greek in your Strong's Concordance #5407, #5406, #5408, you will find that the word "kill" is "Phoneus" which means criminal homicide (to be a murderer), and if you murder someone on purpose you are to be put to death. (Deuteronomy 19:11-13). This is God's law; and remember Christ did not change one "jot or one tittle" of the law. In the new testament book (I John 3:15) it tells us that a murderer cannot have salvation in the flesh. That is why a murderer should be sentenced to death and sent to the "Heavenly Father" to be judged, and God will determine weather or not they will be forgiven. This is their only chance for salvation... No one who intentionally murders another one of God's children will get away with it, because eventually they will face God and their accuser.

 22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. The word "fool" as it is used here in the Greek is #3474 "moros" dull or stupid (heedless), never having a chance. We use the word "moron" in the English language. When you call someone a moron, you are saying that they never had a chance, and God does not like it. Everyone has a chance for salvation. On the other hand, if you listen to a fool who is a false teacher, you are a bigger fool than they are. If you continue to believe their lies, you may not have a chance either.

 23Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; In other words; if you are making a offering to God, and suddenly remember that a friend has something against you that is your fault.

 24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Go and apologize and be reconciled to him, then make your offering. If it is your brother that wronged you, you do not need to go to him. You can forgive him, but he is the one who should be making amends.

 25Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. If you do wrong to someone or are accused of doing wrong; come to terms quickly if you can with your enemy if they intend to sue you, before they drag you into court and you end up in jail. Notice Christ used the word "adversary" here because it is one of Satan's names. Satan is always accusing you when he has the chance.

 26Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. 

 27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery.

 28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Here is another misinterpreted scripture that bible thumpers will put a guilt trip on you, especially if you are younger. It does not mean you cannot look upon the opposite sex and enjoy the beauty of one of God's creations. It means not to sexually lust for them in your mind, or try to put the make on everyone that passes by.

 29And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Remember Christ is teaching his disciples here and he is talking to the church. The church is the many member body of Christ. If part of the group is starting to believe false teachings and spreads it to other parts of the church; get rid of them before the whole church becomes infected and deceived.

 30And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Just because you have a big tither or donator in the church, but they start believing false teachings; don't keep them around for the money, get rid of them. Then once again, the whole body will not be infected and deceived. To many churches today give all the attention to the one giving the most money, and at times overlook what they may be up to.

 31It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: Remember God is also a divorcee. He divorced His wife Israel; (Jeremiah 3:8)

 32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. For the right reasons you can divorce someone and remarry again upon repentance. Divorce is not the unpardonable sin like many would like you to believe. A divorcee is not a second class citizen. Christ died for all the sins of the world. So don't let any man or religious organization put you on a guilt trip if you are divorced, or try to tell you that you cannot remarry.

 33Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: Let your word be your bond. (Leviticus 19:12, Numbers 30:2, Deuteronomy 23:23)

 34But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Don't swear by God's name! (James 5:12)

 35Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. God owns everything; even your soul! (Ezekiel 18:4) What it is saying here is that your word should be your bond. You don't need to swear on anything!

 36Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. He is saying; don't even swear by my head, for you can't even change one hair white or black. Man can't change anything.

 37But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Keep it simple; say 'yes I will' or 'no I won't.' Your word should be enough. When someone tries to strengthen there promise with a vow, it shows that something is wrong. Beware of the small print!

 38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

 39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. Again Christ is teaching His disciples. If you overload someone with to much teaching and it offends them a little to much; they may give you a slap on the cheek or knock you on your but. If that is the case, then turn the other cheek, because you deserved it. In other words, don't cause someone to become upset and smite you.

 40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. As a Christian, if you cause someone to sue you; you are the one who messed up. Give them a little extra to make amends. Even the courts will be happy then.

 41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Always be fair and take it one step further. It protects your reputation.

 42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. 

 43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 

 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. In that way you will be acting as true sons of your Father in Heaven. 

 46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? If you love only those who love you, what good is that. Even scoundrels do that.

 47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? If you are friendly only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even the heathen do that!

 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. We are to do our best to be perfect Christians and walk like Christ. I know it is hard in the world today; but our Heavenly Father only asks us to give it our best so we become examples of what a true Christian should be like.

Matthew 6

 1Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Don't do your good deeds publicly to be admired, for then you will lose the reward from the Heavenly Father.

 2Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. When you help someone or give a gift to someone, don't shout about it or go around telling everybody what you did calling attention to your act of charity like the hypocrites do. If you do; this is the only reward you will ever get.

 3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: When you do a kindness to someone, do it secretly. Don't tell your left hand what your right hand is doing.

 4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. The Heavenly Father who knows all secrets will reward you for your kindness towards others.

 5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who pretend piety by praying publicly in front of others or in the church where everyone can see you, because that is all the reward you will ever get, and your prayers may not be answered. It may make you feel so holy or religious in front of others, but that is about the extent of it.

 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. When you pray, let it be in secret by yourself and pray to the Heavenly Father secretly, and the Heavenly Father who knows your secrets will reward you.

 7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Don't recite the same prayer like the heathen do over and over thinking your prayers will only be answered by repeating them again and again.

 8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Remember, your Heavenly Father knows exactly what you "need" even before you ask Him.

 9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 

 10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

 11Give us this day our daily bread.

 12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. The Lord's Prayer! God will always deliver us from evil as stated in I Corinthians 10:13, and He will never let any temptation come upon us that we cannot handle. He will always show us a way out!

 14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: If you can forgive others of their faults, your Heavenly Father will forgive you.

 15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. If you cannot forgive others of their faults, your Heavenly Father will not forgive you either. The word (if) here, makes it conditional.

 16Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. If you fast, don't do it publicly like the hypocrites (play actors) do, telling others and looking like you are fasting so others will feel sorry for you. If you do, it will be the only reward you will get.

 17But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; When you fast, wash your face and put on festive clothing looking fresh.

 18That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Make it so others will not know what you are doing and suspect you are hungry, except the Heavenly Father who knows every secret. And He will reward you.

 19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: Treasures here are riches, credit, or deposits. Don't let your heart or mind think your salvation depends upon these things.

 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: Build your works in Heaven... Your works, good deeds or (righteous acts) if you will, are the only things that will follow you to Heaven. (Revelation 14:13)

 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. If your treasures are in Heaven your heart will be there too.

 22The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. If the eye is clear... Your eye is the mirror to the soul! (A clear eye can be a sign of one who has light in their soul).

 23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Some people are just dark and void of God's Word or belief in Him. (A cloudy eye can be a sign of a possessed person or one in deep spiritual darkness).

 24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. You cannot serve God and money. Mammon used here means "Ill gotten gains of the world" by deception or taking advantage of others to better yourself or get what you want.

 25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Don't worry about things because this will help nothing. If you always worry about material things or money, it will take you away from God. Don't miss out on blessings by always worrying, rather trust in the Heavenly Father.

 26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Don't you think your Heavenly Father cares more about you that a bird? He loves and cares about you!

   27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Worrying will not add one day to your life. (actually it might take away from your life).

 28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: Don't worry about material clothes... It is the Gospel armor that we should be putting on. (Ephesians 6:11-20)

 29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

 30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Don't worry about it... God always takes care of His own.

 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? Remember that the famine in the end times is for hearing the Word of God. (Amos 8:11). Christ is the bread of life that we should be concerned with.

 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. What the nations seek. Our Heavenly Father already knows what we need.

 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. The King and His Dominion. Take action and seek the truth of His Word and make Him first in your life, and He will take care of you.

 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Today's troubles are enough to worry about if you are always worrying about things. Don't worry about tomorrow, take it one day at a time.

Matthew 7

  In chapter seven of the book of Matthew, Christ is teaching His disciples and instructing us on how to teach God's Word. He teaches us to be truthful, bold, and to the point, leaving out traditions and doctrines of men.

 1Judge not, that ye be not judged. Don't criticize or be negative towards others all the time, then you won't be criticized.

 2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. The old saying. What goes around, comes around. Others will treat you as you treat them.

 3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Don't talk about others, because there is plenty to talk about in your own family.

 4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? You can't help anyone with God's Word, if you don't know the truth yourself. Get God's Word first!

 5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Take off the blinders and learn the truth first. Then your eyes will be open to teach the truth.

 6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Teach God's Word to those who seek it. Not to those who really don't care or reject it. The book of Proverbs would best explain it. If you rebuke a mocker, you will only get a smart remark in return. But a wise man, when rebuked, will love you all the more. Reference: (Proverbs 9:7-12).

 7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Christ is not speaking of material things here. He is speaking of God's Word and one that is following His work. Ask for something that will further the will of God. Ask for wisdom and knowledge in His Word!

 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If you work at taking His Word forth, He will bless you and give you what you need.

 9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Remember Christ is that bread of life. God will always grant you what you ask for if you are in need of it.

 10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? The fish is the Christian symbol. The serpent represents Satan. The Heavenly Father will always give His Children what is good.

 11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Even hard-hearted, sinful men know how to give good gifts to their children. But our Heavenly Father is speaking of things of God. This is what is important.

 12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. To sum it up. This is the law of love. Do for others what you want them to do for you.

 13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: The narrow gate is the way to righteousness and to heaven. The wide path is the ways of the world, the highway to hell! (Those who always want to take the easy way out). You have to paths, or gates to follow. Reference: (Deuteronomy 30:14-18).

 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. The gateway to life is small and the road is narrow. Only a few find it. This number to those who find the way has been amplified since the crucifixion. Many have found the way in the past, and many more will find it in the near future.

 15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. A prophet is a true man of God and teacher of the Word. Plenty of fakes out there deceiving people teaching their own doctrine and traditions of men. Christ warns us to stay away from these wolves in sheep's clothing!

 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? It shows in what they teach and the way they act. Is it God's Word? or is it a church system, traditions and doctrines of men?

 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. You need to be able to discern the truth or you will be deceived by man.

 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. God's Word will not bring forth bad fruit, nor will false teachings bring forth good fruit.

 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Every tree having inedible fruit should be cut down as it will be with those who deceive people and partake in false teachings.

 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. The way to identify a tree or person is by the kind of fruit produced. Think for yourself!

 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. You must be doing the will of God, teaching the truth of His Word. Not the will of man. The question is. Are they obeying God, and doing His will?

 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? At judgment, many will say they are of Christ, but God did not send these false teachers.

 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. God will reject and expose them for their evil deeds and false teachings.

 24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: All who listen to the instructions of Christ are wise. After all, Christ is our rock and solid foundation.

 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. Founded upon the truth of God's Word. Founded upon Christ!

 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: Those who are fakes, teach false doctrines and traditions of men.

 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. And so it will be when Satan returns with his flood of lies and deception. Reference: (Revelation 12:15)

 28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: The crowds were amazed at the teachings of Jesus.

 29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. A good teacher teaches with authority and truth of God's Word. Not someone who follows church systems, doctrines and traditions of men.

Matthew 8

  Chapter eight deals with the second part of Christ's ministry. His healing ministry.

 1When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. I believe that people were listening in as Christ taught His disciples. As He came down from the mountain, they were amazed by His teachings and followed Him to find out more.

 2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. The leper kneels before Him, worshipping Him with no doubt. And He asked Jesus, if it be your will, make me clean. We should always ask if it is God's will, when asking for a blessing or healing.

 3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Jesus said to the man that He wanted to heal him, and immediately he was healed. Just like that!

 4And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. Leviticus 14:3 tells how the priests of the Old Testament performed the cleansing of the lepers. Christ wanted the priests to get the message that when He healed the leper it was symbolic of the crucifixion. It would be Christ's blood that would be the sacrifice for all.

 5And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, This was a gentile. A roman soldier, a officer high up in command came to Jesus and pled with Him.

 6And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. Paralyzed and racked with pain.

 7And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. Christ sensed the faith in the centurion and agreed to come and heal his servant.

 8The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. Even the centurion knew that if it be the will of God, his servant would be healed.

 9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. The centurion knew that Christ had the authority to heal his servant.

 10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. Jesus stood their amazed at the great faith this centurion had.

 11And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. Many gentiles like this roman officer will come and sit down in the Kingdom of Heaven.

 12But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Many of those for whom the Kingdom was prepared shall be cast into outer darkness at the Lord's day when He turns them away. Those that have been deceived!

 13And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. What the Roman centurion had believed had happened, and his servant was healed... Just like that! Believe in what you ask for and that it will happen, if it be our Heavenly Fathers will.

 14And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. Peter's mother-in-law was in bed dying. This also documents that the Apostle Peter was married. The one Christ would choose to build His church upon.

 15And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When Jesus touched her hand she was immediately, and she rose and prepared a meal for them.

 16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: Several demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus that night and the demons fled when He spoke a single word.

 17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. This fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, "He took our sickness and bore our disease." (Isaiah 53:4-5).

 18Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side. Remember this statement that Christ just made. We are going to the other side! When Christ tells you something, never doubt Him.

 19And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. Master meaning teacher.

 20And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. Christ was speaking spiritually here, that the scribe had no place in his heart for Christ. We must accept Christ first before we can follow Him. And we need to love Christ first and more than anyone else.

 21And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. One of His disciples said that he would follow Him after his father died and he could burry him.

 22But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. Christ told the disciple to follow Him now; and let the spiritually dead care for their own dead. (Referring to those who did not believe in Him). This is a message that to overcome a spiritual death is far more important than physical death.

 23And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with His disciples. (Keep in mind verse 18 now, the other side).

 24And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. A bad storm arose and they were in a very bad situation. The disciples thought that they were going to sink. Being asleep here symbolizes that Christ will not always be with us, but with faith, we will always be alright.

 25And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. The disciples woke Him and said to Him, Lord, save us! "We are sinking and are going to die!"

 26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Jesus said to His disciples, "O you men of little faith! Why are you so frightened?" Then He rebuked the storm and it stopped. Didn't Christ tell them that they were going to the other side in verse 18? Of course He did! When Christ tells you something, never doubt Him. (Psalm 65) as it is written, tells us what Christ can do.

 27But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! Christ is called man here, but He is still God. Emanuel! "GOD WITH US."

 28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. These were very wicked and evil devils.

 29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? The devils knew who Jesus was and what authority He had over them. They wondered why He was their to torment them before their time. What time? Before the end!

 30And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. A herd of pigs was feeding in the distance.

 31So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. The devils did not even have the power to enter the swine themselves, they had to ask permission. This shows you that God is always in control.

 32And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters. Jesus told them to be gone, and the devils left the two men and entered the pigs. And the pigs rushed over the cliff and drowned in the water below. Even the swine would rather die that be possessed by these demons. We have power in Christ over all our enemies.

 33And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils. The herdsmen fled to the nearest city with the story of what had happened and that Christ rids them of even devils.

 34And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts. The entire population came rushing out to meet Jesus, and begged Him to go away and leave them alone. Maybe a little scared of the unknown. Never doubt our Heavenly Father and never be afraid to go forth at His will. He will always be their for you in time of need if you keep the faith!

Matthew 9

  In chapter nine of the book of Matthew, Christ is being declared messiah, or Lord in English. We will also be teaching on a few different levels of understanding in this chapter for those who have ears to hear.

 1And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. Capernaum, His home town.

 2And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. No man can forgive sin. Christ shows the importance of healing your soul and spirit, more than the physical body.

 3And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. Because Christ said your sins are forgiven, the scribes exclaimed this man is saying He is God.

 4And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? Jesus asked them why they were thinking such evil thoughts. Only God knows your heart, so could Jesus. Psalm 139 tells us that God knows are thoughts.

 5For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? Christ was explaining as Messiah, He had the authority on earth to forgive sins. But, He told them that talk is cheap and anyone can say your sins are forgiven. Christ knew that there was no proof for them by forgiving sins because they could not see it.

 6But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. Here is where Christ would say to them, since you will not believe me, I will heal this man so that you will know that the Son of man has the power on earth to forgive sins. Then they would know who He really was.

 7And he arose, and departed to his house. The boy gathered up his bed and walked.

 8But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men. A chill of fear swept through the crowd as they saw this happen before their own eyes. Then they praised God for giving such authority to a man.

 9And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him. Matthew was a tax collector. Matthew means "Gift of God." Matthew just arose and followed Jesus. There was no alter call here, it was a call from God. When God calls you, don't hesitate. You will know when He calls on you to serve.

 10And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. Jesus and the disciples were having dinner at Matthews house, there were many tax collectors and notorious swindlers there as guests. They just witnessed what Jesus had done and wanted to know more about this.

 11And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? Why does your teacher eat and associate with men like that? Remember that Christ hung with the sinners. That is the reason He was there, to bring the Word and salvation to sinners. Today Christians are so afraid to hang in the wrong crowds. So afraid to be around sinners because they have such little faith they feel they will go bad themselves. It is are job as Christians to testify and teach the sinners about the Word and true salvation. If you can't do that, what good are you to God?

 12But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. Jesus explained that those who are well do not need a doctor. He wanted us to know that those who are spiritually dead are those who need the help. These are the lost and the sinners!

 13But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Christ wanted them to learn the meaning of this verse of scripture. It is not your sacrifices and gifts that God wants, it is your love and for you to be merciful. Jesus tells us that He has come to urge sinners back to God, not the self-righteous. Reference: (Hosea 6:6) The book of Hosea is about salvation. As a matter of fact, "Hosea" means salvation.

 14Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? These were disciples of John the Baptist asking Jesus why His disciples did not fast and pray like they did and the Pharisees do?

 15And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast. Jesus was explaining to them that God was with them and there was no need to fast. He also told them that the time would come when He would be taken from them and then they shall fast. God was right there with them, but they did not get it. God is with us today in spirit until His return.

 16No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Who would patch an old garment with un-shrunk cloth? For the patch would pucker-up or tear away and make the whole worse. Jesus was explaining that they were so set in their old ways that they will never change. If you give them some real truth they just pucker-up.

 17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. Bottles in the Greek means leather bag or wineskin that they stored their wine in. If you have an old wine skin that does not stretch from the fermentation process of wine, it will burst under pressure. Only new wineskins are used for new wine. The same goes for people that are hung-up on church traditions. They can't handle the truth of God's Word!

 18While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. This Rabbi came and believed upon Him. In (Luke 8:42) it tells us that the little girl was 12 years old. Symbolic of the twelve tribes of Israel that was spiritually dead. The tribes being Benjamin, Judah, and the ten lost tribes or 'house of Israel' took many different names as a people and they migrated north over the Caucasus Mountains and west, coming to the 'isles', and settling in the lands we call Europe, and even to Americas which we call Caucasians.

 19And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. All twelve disciples followed Him.

 20And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: Here we have the symbolic number 12 again symbolic of Israel. It states in "Luke 8:43" that no doctors could heal this woman. Just as no one can heal Israel except God!

 21For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. That's faith! This woman new she could be healed by messiah if she believed in Him, and she did.

 22But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Her faith is what made her whole and the woman was well from that moment. Christ will also raise Israel from being spiritually dead!

 23And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, When Jesus arrived at the Rabbi's house, He saw the noisy crowds and funeral music. In those days it was tradition to hire mourners to scream, cry whale and carry on.

 24He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. They all scoffed and sneered at Him.

 25But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. When the crowd was finally outside, Jesus went in where the little girl was and took her by the hand, and she jumped up and was alright. In (Luke 8:55) it tells us that Jesus commanded to give her meat. The Word of God!

 26And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land. The report of this wonderful miracle swept the entire countryside.

 27And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. The two blind men called Him by His title. Even though they were blind, they knew who He was. The promised messiah. (Isaiah 53) declares it. 

 28And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Yes we believe they answered Jesus. 

 29Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. According to their faith they were healed. You must believe God can heal you and believe that you will be healed. That is the faith we should have.

 30And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. Jesus gave them a divine order not to tell anyone about it and was very strict about that.

 31But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country. They could not keep it secret and spread the news of what He had done all over the town.

 32As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. The man could not talk because of a demon inside him.

 33And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. Again the crowds marveled at His healing miracle.

 34But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils. The Pharisees said He cast out devils because He is a devil possessed by Satan.

 35And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. The religious community at this time could not do it. They had no authority or power as Christ did to heal the sick.

 36But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Like sheep with no shepherd. Israel was also scattered abroad because they had no shepherd.

 37Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Jesus told His disciples that the harvest is so great, and the workers are so few. There was so much work for those people to be taught, but few laborers to do it. So it is in churches today. So much truth to be taught, but all they want to teach is traditions of men or their own doctrines. God is recruiting those who teach the truth of His Word. It is this truth that will set you free from traditions and doctrines of men.

 38Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Pray! (bind and make known). Pray to the Heavenly Father to recruit more workers for His harvest. Harvest day is close and we need those who are not afraid to teach the truth of His Word no matter what the consequences.

Matthew 10

  In chapter 10 Christ instructs and arms His disciples. He sends the twelve forth as laborers of the Word and now calls them Apostles (meaning sent forth).

  1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Christ gives them authority in His name. This kind of separates the real from the fake.

 2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Simon (meaning a hearing), Peter (meaning a rock or stone), Andrew (meaning manly), James (meaning supplanter), John (meaning Jehovah's gift).

 3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; Philip (meaning lover of horses), Bartholomew (meaning gift of God), Thomas (meaning twin), Matthew (meaning gift of Jehovah), James (Greek form of Jacob meaning supplanter).

 4Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Simon the Canaanite (meaning zealous), Judas Iscariot (meaning man of Kerioth). Keep in mind that there were four major languages spoke back then. (Hebrew, Greek, Latin and Aramaic). Aramaic was spoken by the common folk. (Canaanite is an Aramaic word). Jesus switched to Aramaic because they were scattered. Don't be confused by language!

 5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: Christ was not sending them to the Gentiles at this time.

 6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Christ sent them to Israel. Point being, Christ did not cut off the gentiles, He was not crucified yet. So He sent the Apostles to the house of Israel first to receive His Word.

 7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Teach the "Kingdom of Heaven." Not a false religion or doctrine of men!

 8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Share what I have given you.

 9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, Gold, silver, brass meaning money. At times this word "purses" was referred to as a begging bag. (In other words, don't beg for money).

 10Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. If a man of God takes the true Word of God forth, he will be taken care of by the people.

 11And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. Whenever you enter a town, search for a good or Godly man to stay with until you leave for the next town. (Another Christian).

 12And when ye come into an house, salute it. Be kind and friendly giving the house a wish of peace.

 13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. If it turns out to be a Godly home, give it your blessing; if not keep the blessing.

 14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. If they do not hear or welcome the Word of truth, just move on.

 15Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. This will be a bad sign for them.

 16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Who is the one who watches after the sheep and gives them protection? The shepherd! Christ is our shepherd, and we need to love and trust Him. But, always be wiser than the serpent. (don't go where your not instructed to go). Christ also instructs us to be as harmless as a dove. The dove is a bird of peace and is very cool and calm. Harmless until you try to harm it. (Always protect yourself and your family). I am speaking spiritually and physically here. Christians are not second class citizens, and are not meant to be a bunch of wimps. We are to be soldiers in the army of Christ.

 17But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; Be careful of men and their doctrines. This also looks forward to the time when Satan sets up his synagogue. How can you tell if you have a good teacher? They teach God's Word chapter by chapter and verse by verse. They will also allow you to ask questions concerning God's Word and answer them when possible. (There is no shame in saying I don't know). Many times you will find the answer together.

 18And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. This word gentiles here is translated nations. You will testify against the nations of the world that are sick and do not align with God's plan.

 19But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. We are speaking about the hour of temptation. (Revelation 17:12), also spoken of in (Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21). Christians have a purpose to be a testimony for Christ and against Satan.

 20For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. At the right time the Holy Spirit will speak through you. (Mark 13:11).

 21And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. Who is death? (Hebrews 2:14). Christ died to destroy death, which is the devil. Your own friends and family may deliver you up to Satan in the synagogues. Why? Because they think he is Christ, but he is really the anti-Christ. (the one who comes first pretending to be Christ).

 22And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Stick with the true Christ. Stay working in the field; do not be deceived or taken by anti-Christ.

 23But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. We are speaking of the second advent here, after the false Christ.

 24The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. The disciple is not above his teacher; they crucified Christ, what are they going to do to you. (I Corinthians 10:13). Christ will not let any temptation unknown to man or anything you cannot handle come upon you. And He will always give you a way out!

 25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Beelzebub, Lord of the flies! One of the many names of Satan. They called Christ Satan; so what are they going to call you who are followers of Christ. Remember what they accused Christ of and called Him. (Matthew 9:34).

 26Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. There will come a time when all their secrets and plots will become public information.

 27What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. Through the Spirit! This is the calling to seed planters and teachers of the Word.

 28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Only God can destroy your soul. Your soul is yourself. The spirit is the intellect of the soul. (Destroy #622 in the Strong's is to perish). God can blot you out as though you never existed, just as Satan is sentenced to perish. Once the anointed cherub that guarded the mercy seat of God will perish forever. (Ezekiel 28:14-19).

 29Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. Nothing happens without your Heavenly Fathers knowledge. He knows about you and every living creature.

 30But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. God knows all about you and all souls belong to Him. (Ezekiel 18:4).

 31Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. He cares about you and will protect you, but you must still be wiser than the serpent.

 32Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. If you plant the seed and bring forth the testimony of Jesus Christ.

 33But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Those teaching false religion and traditions of men. Always trying to get into your pockets, but never teaching you the truth of God's Word!

 34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. God does not want to make peace with the ways of this world, but rather He wants to change it. Christ is returning with the two edged sword out of His mouth, which is the Word of God. (Revelation 1:16).

 35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Isn't that common with families and friends today? It is hard to get two people to believe the same way in home today, let alone the whole family. It appears everyone wants their own little belief or way to worship. If people you hang with don't know the truth or will refuse to receive it, move on and stay away from them.

 36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. Christ is trying to tell us not to change his doctrine because of family. Stick with His Word!

 37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. You are to love you Heavenly Father more than anyone else. In "Luke 14:26" there is a mistranslation. You are not to hate your loved ones, but to love them less than the Lord. Don't let anyone tell you that you must leave or not care about your family to be a Christian.

 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Christ taught this Word and we are to do the same. In times of Christ they picked up a cross because they were going to be nailed to it. Christ wants this type of commitment from us. He wants us to be so dedicated to Him that we will not change from His doctrine.

 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Life here is your soul or self. Your security should be in the doctrine, not in the world. Are you priorities of God or of the world?

 40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. The Doctrine, The Truth, The living Word. Christ!

 41He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. Do you receive the prophets or teachers of God? When you do, you receive the same blessing as they receive.

 42And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. You must discern the truth. A representative of God will receive his blessing from God. If someone tells you that you must give them something (such as a donation), or you will not receive a blessing, don't do it. You will receive no blessing. Don't give into beggars and cons!

Matthew 11

  In chapter 11 of the book of Matthew, Christ is teaching the multitudes of people in the cities.

  1And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities. Went to teach the multitudes of people in the cities.

 2Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, Two disciples that studied under John were sent to Christ by John the Baptist.

 3And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? John was a student of the Word. One of the last great prophets before Christ. He wanted to know if this was the first of two advents spoken of in (Zechariah 9:9-10).

 4Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: Go back and tell John what you see.

 5The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. The Word being preached for all to hear and receive.

 6And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. Blessed are those who do not doubt Him. Those who accept His Word. Remember that the doctrine of Christ is the truth of the Word and not traditions of men. This was the message that He was sending to John.

 7And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? Did you think that John was some kind of wimp preacher that sways like a blade of grass. Always teaching some kind of new tradition or belief that gives you no foundation of truth. John the Baptist was not a soft spoken man, but rather bold and to the point teaching only the truth of the Word.

 8But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses. Were you expecting to see a man dressed as a prince. The clothing does not make the teacher or prophet. Just because they hide behind a collar, colorful robe, or fancy suit, does not make them a teacher of God's Word.

 9But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. John the Baptist was more than a prophet. He came in the Spirit of Elijah (Elias), who was the prophet of prophets. (Luke 1:17).

 10For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. John prepared the way before the first Advent. (Malachi 3:1). He was the one mentioned in Scriptures --- to precede Christ, to announce His coming, and prepare people to receive Him.

 11Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. He was one of the greatest. That is why he was imprisoned. (For teaching the doctrine of Christ).

 12And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Even today Satan is up there talking against us every time we mess up. Their are many working with him who forcefully try to set up their kingdom here on earth.

 13For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. All the laws and prophets looked forward to the Messiah, then John showed up. (John was the last prophet before Christ came).

 14And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. Here is that word "IF" again. (Something conditional). John was not "Elijah" (Elias), John was only in the Spirit of Elijah. (The power and spirit). (Luke 1:17, & last verses of Malachi). Did they receive John the Baptist, or even Christ? NO!

 15He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. If ever you were willing to listen, listen now! Do you hear?

 16But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, These people are like children playing, who say to their little friends, come on over.

 17And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented. We called to you and wanted to have a good time and you would not come.

 18For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. John doesn't even drink wine and often goes without food, and you say, 'He's crazy.'

 19The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. I the messiah, come and feast and drink, and you complain that I am a glutton and a drinking man who hangs with sinners. But brilliant men like you can justify your every inconsistency.

 20Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: This word "upbraid" means reproach, or come down on them. They seen the many things that Christ had done right in front of them and they still did not repent and turn to God. He had the right to come down on them.

 21Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. If these miracles I did for you were done in Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented long ago. Here we have "Bethsaida" (house of the fish), which is the sign of Christianity itself.

 22But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. If you seen it and rejected it. YOU ARE IN TROUBLE!

 23And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. If these miracles were done in Sodom, they would have not been destroyed. This is why we having so many problems today, because society is driving God out!

 24But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee. They will have something to answer for.

 25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Christ thanked the Heavenly Father for hiding the truth from those who thought that they were so wise, and revealing it to little children.

 26Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. That's the way God wanted it.

 27All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Listen well! It all comes from the Father. You can only know the Father when He reveals Himself to you. When God blesses you, then you will understand the truth.

 28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. All that labor and work hard under a heavy yoke! Those who do the work of the Lord as true Christians, He will give you rest. Christ is our rest!

 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Learn of Him... Learn the Word! Let Christ teach you and you will find rest. We are saved by grace yes. But we need to move past that to receive all the blessings He has to offer. A Yoke makes it easy and takes away the burden or hurt. (Just as it would on the yoke of the oxen). Christ is meek (gentle), lowly in heart (coming down to you), rest to your soul (yourself), which gives you peace of mind.

 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. You can do it! His burden is so light you won't feel it, and He will never give you a burden that you cannot handle.

Matthew 12

  Chapter 12 in the great book of Matthew continues with the teachings of Christ to all who have an ear to hear. Christ teaches a very important message about the Sabbath in the first part of the chapter. Because of Christ's healings on the Sabbath, he uncovers the evilness among the Pharisees who try to accuse Him of breaking the law. Christ brings forward a warning message for us all not to get caught up in traditions of men and false teachings. He also makes it clear that whoever does the will of the "Heavenly Father" will be part of the family of God.

 1At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. They were travelers that were hungry and wanted a bite to eat.

 2But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. Now here we need to use common sense. We have some people spending time learning with Christ that are on the road, are hungry, so they grab a couple ears of corn and eat it. Now her comes along some of the Pharisees, (the so called high-hoe's of the religious community), that are trying to accuse Christ and those with Him of breaking the law. (Caught up in traditions).

 3But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; Documented in (I Samuel 21:6). It was alright for a "priest" to eat of the shewbread (hallowed bread). Now was David a priest? David was an anointed one; one that the Son "Jesus Christ" would come through. (David was a priest of priest's). An anointed one doing the "work" of God.

 4How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? You see; The point Christ was making here is that they were doing God's work, and there was no law broken when they partook of the bread.

 5Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? Priests and Pastors work on the Sabbath. (Sabbath simply means rest), and we find our rest, (peace of mind) in Christ.

 6But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. Christ is that temple. Messiah makes up the many member body of the temple.

 7But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. Christ told them if they understood the meaning of this scripture verse; "I want you to be merciful more than I want your offerings" quoting from (Hosea 6:6). God does not want your burnt offerings. He wants your love. Those who were plucking the corn were guiltless.

 8For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. Why? Because Christ is the Sabbath! No one ever enjoyed the true Sabbath rest by keeping of a day (Hebrews 4:4-11); for all who do such are working to keep the Sabbath day; but it is necessary to cease from all our works, as God did, to have real rest. The Sabbath days were a shadow of Christ. He has done all the work, so that we now find our rest in Him. He is our Sabbath. The Sabbath was nailed to the cross! (Colossians 2:13-17). Don't listen to those who want to make a religion out of a day.

 9And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: Back to church!

 10And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. The Pharisees main purpose was to try and accuse Christ of breaking the law. They wanted Him to say yes so they could arrest Him. Let's see how He answered them.

 11And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? Everyone new that they would go and save the sheep that had fallen into the pit, even on the Sabbath.

 12How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. It is lawful to do "well" on the Sabbath. God's work! Is it God's work that you are doing?

 13Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. Now let me ask you. Did Christ "touch" this man? No. He overpowers them by saying; Stretch forth thy hand! (They could not accuse Him). We must be wiser than the serpent. Christ knew what they were thinking and how they wanted to trick Him.

 14Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. The Pharisees were not happy with what had just happened and held a meeting on how they may destroy Christ for doing well on the Sabbath.

 15But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; Again; Christ new what they were thinking so He left the church and the congregation followed Him. (Our Heavenly Father is in control and the world is His dominion).

 16And charged them that they should not make him known: He cautioned them about spreading the word of the miracles He performed, but the word is going to get around anyway.

 17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Teaching from (Isaiah 42:1).

 18Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. He will show justification to the nations. (The whole triune Godhead is mentioned here).

 19He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. He does not fight or shout, or raise His voice. (Shows by action).

 20A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. He does not crush the weak, or quench the smallest hope. (He is very gentle). He will end all conflict with His final victory.

 21And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. He is the light to the gentiles. (Luke 2:32). He is the "hope" of the whole world.

 22Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. Jesus totally healed him. This is real power, documenting that He is Messiah!

 23And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? The crowds were amazed. "Maybe Jesus is the Messiah!" they exclaimed.

 24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. The Pharisees were really mad now that they heard about the miracle and accused Him of being a devil. (Satan; king of devils). Now remember back in verse 15 when Christ left the church the whole congregation left with Him. The Pharisees were not happy about this. (a little loss from their livelihood maybe).

 25And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: A divided Kingdom ends in ruin, and a city or home divided against itself cannot stand.

 26And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? Satan would not cast out himself!

 27And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. If as you claim that I am casting out demons by invoking the powers of Satan, then by what power do your own children (people) use when they cast them out. Let them answer your accusation! You see; They had no power or authority to cast out devils because they were part of Satan and his devils.

 28But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. God's Spirit has come down to you. (The Holy Spirit)

 29Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. One cannot rob Satan's kingdom without first binding Satan. Only then can his demons be cast out! Christ had to be stronger than Satan in order to rid this man of evil spirits. (Christ was saying; I am stronger than Satan).

 30He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Anyone that isn't helping me is harming me. If you get yourself wrapped up in traditions of men and false teachings, they make void the Word of God.

 31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit! (Luke 12:10-12). The unforgivable sin!

 32And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. We are speaking of "God in the flesh" when we speak of the "Son of man." The unpardonable sin is to refuse the "Holy Spirit" speaking through you when you are delivered up to Satan.

 33Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. A tree from a select variety produces good fruit; poor varieties don't. What trees were in the garden? The tree of "knowledge of good and evil" (Satan), and the "tree of life" (Christ). Don't be deceived or conned by people and false teachers!

 34O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Addressing those who accused Him Christ would say; How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For a mans heart determines his speech. Now lets take the word "generation" to the Greek. Strong's #108 which means (offspring or produce, fruit). Christ was talking to those who were the seed of the serpent. (Genesis 3:13-15). These would be the "Kenites" that worked their way in with our brother Judah.

 35A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. A good mans speech reveals his rich treasure within. An evil hearted man is filled with venom, and his speech reveals it.

 36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. This leans towards false teachings and traditions of men.

 37For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Teachers and ministers of the Word will be held accountable for what they teach.

 38Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. They wanted Christ to show them a miracle because they would not believe what they have heard. Don't test God!

 39But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: Speaking of Jonah being in the belly of the whale for three nights. Jonah means (Dove) which is symbolic of the Holy Spirit.

 40For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. What happened to Jonah was symbolic of what would happen to Christ. (The whole book of Jonah was about Christ's ministry).

 41The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. All the healings and miracles Christ performed and they would still not believe that He was Messiah.

 42The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Speaking of the Queen of Sheba. (I Kings 10)

 43When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. When an evil spirit leaves someone it seeks rest but finds none.

 44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. When the evil spirit leaves someone the one it leaves is nice and clean, but if you do not place Christ in that clean person, guess who is coming back? The same demon that left!

 45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Now the demon brings back more demons with him and the person is worse of than before. Again the message here is power over your enemies! First you must drive them out; then you must place Christ in their place. If not, these demons will come back ten fold!

 46While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Christ's Mother and brothers were there. Reference: (Mark 6:3, John 2:12)

 47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. They wanted to speak with Him.

 48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? Christ was not speaking against His Mother or brothers.

 49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! Meaning family.

 50For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. We can all be part of the family of God. The many member body of Christ. Whosoever will!

Matthew 13

  In chapter 13 of the book of Matthew you will find one of the most important teachings by Christ. We will discover the parable of the sower and parables of the Kingdom that align with the many mysteries opened to us. If you have eyes to see and ears to hear! (This is a prime chapter and if you do not understand it, you will not understand any of Christ's parables).

 1The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. Christ again using the subject matter of nature and trees will be translated "seeds" which is the Word of God.

 2And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. He would use this area because it formed a natural amp-theatre where a large crowd to hear.

 3And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; The Sower in the days of old would carry a bag of seed and throw it from side to side by hand. Remember here that the seed represents the Word of God.

 4And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: The wayside was a path that people walked on and was frequently traveled. Matted down if you will, and would not be good for growing anything so the birds just ate up the seed.

 5Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: They could not form any root system. Just as when a Christian may pass onto another a Word of truth, they do not listen or research the Word and lose the truth. The truth never took just as the seed never formed it's root system.

 6And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. They just died. Again, if someone takes no interest in a truth of God's Word it will just wither away in their mind.

 7And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: Just choked out the good seed. Just like false teachings and traditions of men will do to a person when they are deceived.

 8But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. God does not award by how much. Every person is awarded by their God given ability and faithfulness to our Heavenly Father.

 9Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Do you hear?

 10And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? Why don't you just tell them what you mean?

 11He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. What are the mysteries? (The Key of David, know who the Kenites are, know that the Anti-Christ comes first before the real Christ). For some God unlocks the mysteries of the Kingdom, and some are blinded for their own protection. Why? Because even if they knew the truth they would not use it for good, or pass it on to others. And many of them would not be able to stand against Anti-Christ. They have enough problems standing on their own.

 12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. If you search out a truth, He will give it to you. You also need to share it with others if you have it, otherwise you may lose it!

 13Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. (Isaiah 6:8-10). They will not see, hear, or understand.

 14And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: If you won't even crack the surface, the seed will not take. You will never understand God's Word if you do not show interest or search for the truth. Settling for traditions of men and fly by night teachings will not cut it. God will keep the truth from those who will just grab at anything so they feel spiritually safe.

 15For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Waxed over! Their eyes are closed because they did not care. Just as many do not care today. They have time for everything the world has to offer, but little time to study and search for truth in God's Word.

 16But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Do you have eyes to see and ears to hear?

 17For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Many prophets and Godly men have longed to see what they have seen, and to hear what they have heard. But, they still did not get it!

 18Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. Here is the explanation of the story I told you about the farmer planting grain.

 19When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. The hard path represents the heart of a person who hears the truth, but does not understand it; then Satan (the wicked one) comes and snatches it away. Satan will always try to put doubt in your mind. (Deception - false teachings - traditions of men).

 20But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; One who receives it with joy and is ready to go.

 21Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. No foundation! No depth in their life for the seeds of truth do not root very deeply. After a while when trouble comes or persecution begins because of what one believes in, their enthusiasm fades and they drop out. When you stand for truth, you will get a little persecution at times; So what! It happened to Christ and it will happen to you. You can handle it!

 22He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. The ground covered with thistles represents the man or woman who hears the message of truth, but the cares and ways of the world and their longing for money choke out the Word of God, and they do less and less for God. Always making time for things of the world that please themselves, puff themselves up, always striving to make money, but never any time to study God's Word.

 23But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Remember the seed is the "Word of God" and the good ground represents the heart of the one who listens to the message and understands it and shares it with others bringing thirty, sixty, or even a hundred others into the Kingdom. It is the producing fruit that is important; not the amount.

 24Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: A little deeper teaching in parable. The field represents the world. Note: (Seed here now changes to "Sperma" Strong's #4687 in the Greek, male sperm, offspring).

 25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. The enemy being Satan and his band of followers.

 26But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. Mixed in real good, but you can tell them by their fruit.

 27So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? You better be on guard or the enemy will take advantage of you if you allow it; especially if you are starting a ministry.

 28He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? Should we get rid of them?

 29But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. You will damage innocent people. You must be wiser than the serpent!

 30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Leave them alone till the harvest and I will take care of them; Almighty God! (We are again speaking of the "Kenites" here who were planted by the seed of Satan).

 31Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: The mustard seed is the smallest of seeds to cultivate in the field. Just as a seed of truth is given to others.

 32Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. The smallest of seed, but grows into the largest of plants. Just as a ministry will grow large with truth, but you must beware of the dirty birds that will come in also.

 33Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. The King and His dominion... The leaven is symbolic of "sin." Let a little in through false teachings and traditions of men and it will spread through the congregation. But, this also works as truth is taught; it will flood and spread through the congregation also.

 34All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: Why did Jesus speak in such parables? Because it is not meant for all to understand.

 35That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Jesus would open secrets in parables that were kept secret since the beginning of time. (Foundation here is "Themelios" in the Greek; at a time of the "Katabole," or overthrow of Satan in the first earth age).

 36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. They did not get it, so Christ will explain it to them.

 37He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The "Son of Man" is Christ in the flesh!

 38The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The field represents the world, and the good seed are the children of God; but, the tares are the offspring of Satan. (John 8:44). In John 8:37 Abraham is the Father of the "Ethnos" (Father of all), whom Christ would come from. Christ is the Father of all! (Again, Seed here is "Sperma" Strong's #4687 in the Greek, male sperm, offspring).

 39The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Satan (the devil) is the father of the "Kenites," or son's of Cain. The harvest is the end of this world age, and the reapers will be the angels.

 40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. At the end of this earth age; God will be that consuming fire! (The tares or the "Kenites" will be destroyed with all evil). A "Kenite" or follow of Satan can still convert to God's way, and they will also have salvation.

 41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Nothing evil will be left in the eternity.

 42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. All evil destroyed and will be as they never existed. A lot of people who thought they were on the road to heaven are going to be in for a surprise. (Spiritually lazy people).

 43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. The Godly shall shine as the sun in their Fathers Kingdom. Do you have ears to hear? (Again, spiritually speaking).

 44Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. The field is the world; and there is no greater treasure in all the world than Gods truth.

 45Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Priceless!

 46Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Putting nothing else first before the glory of His Word. Nothing else comes before truth and understanding. Worldly people will not understand truth, or put it to good use by researching and sharing it with others.

 47Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Valuable and worthless.

 48Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. The analogy here is to not partake of scavengers. Separate the clean from the unclean.

 49So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just. Separation of the wicked from the Godly.

 50And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Because people have been deceived, they never new the working plan of salvation from God. (The minute then hear a little truth, or need to study God's Word, they are turned off).

 51Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. All these things! Not just pick and choose.

 52Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. We need the old testament and the new testament gospel. (The old testament seals the new and the new testament completes the old).

 53And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. Ties all these parables into one; same message with a different analogy.

 54And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Went right to their church and taught.

 55Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? How is this possible? This man is just a carpenters son (just normal people) and we know his mother and brothers.

 56And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? All his sisters live here also. How is this man so great? (The earthly side of man can make it hard to see the spiritual within at times).

 57And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. This word offend used here is "Scandalizo" Strong's #4624 in the Greek. (to scandalize; to entrap, trip up, entice to sin). And they were offended; enough to plot against Jesus. Christ would go on to say that a prophet is honored everywhere except in his own country, and among his own people. (So true even today; how many friends or family members really accept the truth when it is given to them).

 58And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Christ only did a few miracles there because of their unbelief. You must have faith before God will answer any of your requests or prayers. Being an unbeliever will jus not cut it. Remember. God's truth is the most important thing in the world, and Satan will take it away from you if you allow him. Don't let Satan destroy your chance of salvation!

Matthew 14

 1At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus, Tetrarch being a forth part of the country. The word about Jesus, His teachings and His miracles was getting around fast.

 2And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him. Herod kind of admired John and at the same time a little afraid of him. 

 3For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. Herod wanted his brothers ex-wife.

 4For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her. John got into his case and said that it was not lawful to have her.

 5And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. Herod did not like that and wanted to kill John but was afraid of riots because the people believed John was a prophet.

 6But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod. How a little dance from a young sweet thing can change the minds of even kings. 

 7Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask. Feeling good and falling for the girl. Holding himself to an oath he would fulfill.

 8And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. Being urged by her mother, the girl wanted John's head on a platter. Who was behind it? Satan of course!

 9And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her. Herod was grieved, but because of his oath, and he didn't want to back down in front of his guests, he gave the order.

 10And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. John was beheaded in prison. 

 11And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother. Another attempt by Satan to stop the truth of the Word through the prophets.

 12And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus. These were John's disciples that went and told Jesus of what had happened, not Christ's disciples. Jesus already knew that John was dead.

 13When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. They followed Him by land from many villages and the crowds grew in number.

 14And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. The crowd is estimated here at around 10,000 to 12,000 people.

 15And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. It was getting late in the day and past time for supper and no food for the people to eat. The disciples wanted to send them into the nearby villages to eat.

 16But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. Jesus told the disciples to feed them. (Notice that Jesus told the disciples to feed them, just as we are to spiritually feed the people). As stated in Amos 8:11, the famine in the end time is not for food or drink, but for hearing the word of God.

 17And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. Five loves of bread. The bread being symbolic of Christ as the bread of life. Two fish. The fish being symbolic of Christianity.

 18He said, Bring them hither to me. Christ was about to show them that the bread of life can feed as many as needed.

 19And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. Again; Christ blessed what they would partake in, but the disciples fed them. Just as we are to do today as Christians and teachers of the Word.

 20And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. Plenty left over for all the tribes. There is always plenty of the Word to go around spiritually speaking.

 21And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. Which brings us to around 10,000 to 12,000 people in the crowd.

 22And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. Jesus sent the disciples to the boat while He broke up the crowds to send them home.

 23And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. After sunset Christ went to talk with the Heavenly Father and the angelic beings.

 24But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. The disciples were in trouble with rising winds and fighting the heavy sea.

 25And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. Christ walked to them on the water. Keep in mind that the fourth watch is around three o'clock in the morning. Many critics try to say that when Jesus walked on the water it was just a reflection from the sun, an illusion, or a mirage. The problem is with the critics is that there was no sun at this time of the day. (Just a little thought for the deeper student).

 26And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. The word spirit used here is "Phantasma" a mere show; phantasm. (Not Pneuma; Breath of Life Spirit), The disciples thought it was a ghost.

 27But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. Jesus spoke to them, reassuring them not to be afraid.

 28And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. Peter had a little doubt in his mind. (Remember "Peter" means rock and you know how fast a rock sinks in water).

 29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. Peter heard Jesus say come, and was focused on Him. Then went over the side of the boat and started to walk on water.

 30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. But, when Peter looked around and seen the high waves he was terrified and began to sink. "Save me, Lord!" he shouted. (See; Peter drew his attention off Christ).

 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Jesus said; O man of little faith, why did you doubt me?" (If you want troubles in this world, just take your eyes off Christ, or doubt His Word).

 32And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. So; Why this example with the sea? As you will read in Revelation chapters 13 & 17, the people of the world that rise from the waters. Christ walked on the water to show how it is possible to walk above the stormy people of the world. But, we must stay focused on Christ and His Word.

 33Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. They were awestruck with what Jesus had just done, but did they understand Christ was teaching and not just putting on a show so they would believe He is the Son of God.

 34And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. Garden of the prince!

 35And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; They came from all around to be healed by Christ.

 36And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. It was not the garment that healed them, but their faith in Him. Remember that God does the healing as He gets us through the fiery trials, but we must have faith and believe in Him. (I Peter 1:7)

Matthew 15

 1Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Some of the higher up leaders. You can bet their were some Kenites in this group.

 2Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. Why do your disciples disobey the ancient traditions? (A sprinkle here and a sprinkle there). 

 3But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? Christ answers them with a question. Why do your traditions violate the direct commandments of God? The heck with your traditions!

 4For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. God's law is to honor your father and mother, and anyone who reviles their parents must die. Wow! Some pretty strong stuff here about honoring and respecting your parents.

 5But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; The church and their traditions say to give to the church even if your parents are in need. (What they are really saying here is that if you give a gift to the church, then there is no sin in dishonoring your parents).

 6And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. By their man made rules and traditions they nullify the direct command of God to honor and care for your parents.

 7Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, A bunch of hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you.

 8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. These people say they honor me, but their hearts are far away. They talk a good religion, but that is all it is. A big show!

 9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Empty worship! Worthless because they teach doctrines of men (traditions and false teachings), instead of God's Word. Very sad. Do you know the difference between the truth of God's Word and traditions of men?

 10And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Listen and try to understand what I am saying.

 11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. You are not made unholy by eating certain food! It is what you say and think that makes you unclean. Real teachers teach God's Word! Rip off artists are always begging for money.

 12Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? The Pharisees were offended by what Christ had said to them. This was tuff stuff for them to handle.

 13But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. God will take care of them! We are speaking of the "Kenites" here. Those not of the Heavenly Father but the tares who are of the devil. (Matthew 13:38-39).

 14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Ignore them! They are blind guides leading the blind, and both will fall into a ditch. (All we can do with people like this is to plan a seed. It is up to God if the seed takes or not).

 15Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. Peter should have understood what Christ was saying, but he didn't. Did this happen this way for our benefit? Are we a little slow to learn at times?

 16And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? You still don't understand what I am saying after all the parables.

 17Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? Don't you understand that anything you eat passes through the digestive track and out again?

 18But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. Evil words come from an evil heart, and defile the man who says them. The religious community was teaching that what you eat was more important for salvation that what you think or feel in your heart.

 19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These evil thoughts and actions will get you into big trouble.

 20These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. Traditions and rituals have nothing to do with salvation or the commandments of God.

 21Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. Christ wanted nothing to do with their traditions and left them. He walked 50 miles to Tyre (a rock) and Sidon (fishing place) Satan's headquarters.

 22And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. I believe the woman was a Kenite. Why? Because she knew who Christ was right-away. Remember that the devils knew who Christ was back in Matthew 8:29. This woman also knew Christ when nobody else that was present did at the time.

 23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. Christ did not even answer her, and the disciples replied that she is bothering us; send her away.

 24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Christ told her that He was sent to save the lost sheep of Israel, not the gentiles. This was only till after the crucifixion, when Christ and salvation was open to all who will.

 25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. She pled and worshipped Him!

 26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. It doesn't seem right to take bread from the children and cast it to the dogs. This was a kind of slang statement used for a non-believer.

 27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Here the woman is in the presence of the "Bread of Life" and all she wants is a crumb. 

 28Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Because of the woman's great faith in taking part of that bread of life, the demon was cast out and her daughter was healed. And no doubt the woman was healed also.

 29And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. He returned back to the city of Galilee where He started from. Christ walked 100 miles total for that lesson.

 30And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them: He healed them all.

 31Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel. They knew who He was and had faith in Him. The crowds marveled and praised the God of Israel!

 32Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. They crowds were there so long that they ran out of food to feed them.

 33And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude? After Christ fed the 10,000 in the wilderness, they still wondered where the food was going to come from. Do I sense a little lack of faith among the disciples at times?

 34And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes. More that they had before when He fed the multitudes.

 35And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. Christ likes to keep things in order.

 36And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. Always give thanks to God for the things you have. Once again as before, Christ gave the food to the disciples to give to the multitudes. Just as we as students and teachers of the Word are to feed the flock. "Spread the Good News."

 37And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. Started with seven bread and ended up with seven baskets left over. "Seven meaning spiritual completeness."

 38And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. Around 8,000 people in all.

 39And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala. Then Jesus sent the people home and got into the boat and crossed to Magadan. (a tower), The old watch tower.

Matthew 16

 1The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. Here comes the so called higher-ups (political religious leaders), trying to test Jesus after all the miracles He had just performed. The Pharisees (separated ones) believed in life after death, the Sadducees did not. They still wanted Jesus to show them a sign from the skies to prove that He was the Messiah.

 2He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. Red sky at night, sailors delight.

 3And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? Red sky in morning, sailors take warning. Can you discern the sign of the times?

 4A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. Jonah of the Old Testament being in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, then he converted Ninevah. (Luke 11:32). Just as Christ would be in the grave 3 days and three nights. (Matthew 12:40).

 5And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. Never prepared, and always thinking of physical food instead of spiritual food.

 6Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. The leaven (yeast) hits every part of the bread. Just as the false teachings do when they enter into a congregation or ministry.

 7And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. They thought Christ was upset because they did not bring any bread.

 8Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked them why they were so worried because they had no bread. Here they were in the presence of the "Bread of Life" but still did not understand.

 9Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? These were the (12) baskets of "fragments" that remained. (Matthew 14:20).

 10Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? These were the (7) baskets "broken" (fragments) that was left. (Matthew 15:37). The word "fragments" used here is like the fragmented garbage you may find in large groups and congregations. (Traditions of men and false teachings).

 11How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Christ was not talking about food. He was talking about all the junk that will grow among congregations just as the leaven in bread when they cling to false teachings and traditions of men.

 12Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. At last they understood that by "yeast" He meant the "wrong teachings" of the Pharisees and Sadducees. A bunch of would be teachers. You know the ones; "I had a vision last night" or "God spoke to me last night." This is what happens in large congregations; confusion, false teaching, and traditions of men work there way in.

 13When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? The "Son of Man." This would be Christ in the flesh.

 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 

 15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. The Christ, (anointed one) the Son (only begotten) of the living God. The full title of Christ.

 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. God has blessed you Simon (Peter), for my Father in heaven has personally revealed this to you, this is not from any human force. Jesus named Peter from Simon. (Peter meaning "Petros" a piece of rock), a movable rock.

 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. You are Peter, a stone; and upon this "Rock" (Rock meaning "Petra" mass rock), unmovable rock, I will build my church; and all the powers of hell will not prevail against it. This is a very controversial scripture between scholars. It is not Peter that Christ would build the church on, Christ is that rock! (Peter would go on to establish the church in Acts 1 and 2). Jesus Christ is the unmovable rock that you want to build upon.

 19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Free yourself through Christ here on earth, and you will be free in heaven. But, if you bind yourself with the ways of the world here on earth, you will also be bound in heaven.

 20Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. He warned the others about telling He was the Messiah. It was not time yet.

 21From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Jesus explained to His disciples about what was going to happen to Him, and that He would be killed by the religious political leaders. It was written and Christ new it would happen that way. Where was it written? Psalm 22 tells all about the crucifixion of Christ. (Hebrews 2:14 and Hebrews 10 tell why Christ was crucified).

 22Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. Peter was allowing his love for Christ to go against the prophecy about Messiah.

 23But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Jesus was speaking to Satan, not Peter. Satan was working on Peter a little bit and Peter was only thinking from a human point of view, and not from God's. Never let your love interfere with God's work.

 24Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Christ was not speaking about some cross around your neck; Christ was speaking of the cross that He was crucified upon. We need to be that dedicated and willing to suffer the same as Christ did.

 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Anyone you keeps his life for himself will lose it; and anyone who loses his life for me shall find it again.

 26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? There is nothing here in this world that is worth losing your soul for.

 27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. When Christ returns, everyone will be judged according to their "works" (good deeds). Not just faith! Faith will get you saved, but what good are you if you do not work for it. Your works are the only thing you can take with you when you die. (Revelation 14:13).

 28Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. The King and His dominion! Christ defeated death in the first advent through the crucifixion and resurrection when He brought forth His Kingdom open to all who will.

Matthew 17

 1And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, Why six days? Remember that one day with God is like a thousand years with man. This could represent that what Christ was going to show Peter, James and John would happen six thousands years later.

 2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. As it will be in the Lord's Day.

 3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Why Moses and Elijah (Elias)? Moses was symbolic of the law and Elijah was the prophet of all prophets. Nobody knows where the bodies of Moses and Elijah are because they were both taken by the Lord.

 4Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. What was on Peters mind is not explained, but I believe he knew that they were coming in spirit bodies.

 5While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Literally, "hear and obey Him." Do you hear what Christ has to say in His Word?

 6And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. They heard the voice of God for real.

 7And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. This was their Father, and they were afraid. That little lack of faith brought on by fear.

 8And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. Only Christ was present. A lesson to us to keep our eyes on Jesus; the living God.

 9And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. Wait till that moment then tell them. Christ showed Peter, James, and John ahead of time that He would be resin again in the spirit body, just as He would return in the future. Giving them a little exclusive prophecy to build their faith on perhaps.

 10And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? Why do the Jewish leaders insists Elijah (Elias) must come first before the Messiah comes?

 11And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. They are right. Elijah must come first and set everything in order.

 12But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Christ told them that Elijah has already come, but wasn't recognized and mistreated. And I, the Messiah, shall also suffer at their hands. John came in the spirit of Elijah (Luke 1:17 / Matthew 11:13-14), but they did not receive him.

 13Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. Now they realized Christ was speaking of John the Baptist. (a voice crying in the wilderness; prepare ye the way of the Lord).

 14And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Knelt before Jesus and worshiped him.

 15Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for often times he falleth into the fire, and often into the water. Lunar being moon (child of the night) like Satan; the prince of darkness. 

 16And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. This one was different, they were not prepared for this one.

 17Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. Again Christ charging them with little faith.

 18And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Ordered him out! Don't mess around with the devil and his demons. Order them out! If you have the faith.

 19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? Why can't we do it?

 20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. They could not do it because of their non-belief and little faith. Mountain is symbolic of nation (nation of the kenites), speaking of Satan and his band of followers.

 21Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. You must understand who they are and how they act.

 22And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: It's going to happen.

 23And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry. They were really sad and felt lost. Remember that Christ came to save the lost souls. (He lost 1/3 of them in the first earth age when they followed Satan).

 24And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? The custom here was taxation on material things, but they were speaking of temple taxation.

 25He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? The Kings would take tribute from strangers, not their own children or princes.

 26Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. In other words, those who are part of the Kingdom do not pay tribute, they are free. They were in the presence of the King and they wanted to tax Him. Just as you are free today because Christ paid the price on the cross.

 27Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. Trying to take tribute from God Himself. Jesus said to pay them so they are not offended and to keep the peace. Protecting His credibility, just as we need to do at times today.

Matthew 18

  Chapter 18 in the book of Matthew is a very important chapter because it shows what God expects from a Christian. It will show us how to be a good servant of God and a good Christian. It shows us as teachers of the Word, to be humble, patient, not to offend, and mildly correct when necessary.

 1At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? Asking Christ which one of them would be the greatest in heaven. Typical question from man always wanting to be the most important.

 2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, Why a little child? Because they are wide-eyed and innocent.

 3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. For the lost sinner, you must turn to God from your sins and become as little children. For the Christian; you need to get rid of all the excess spiritual baggage. (Religious junk, false teachings, and traditions of men). We need to focus on God Word only! Just as a child has a fresh mind, we should also be the same in absorbing the truth of His Word.

 4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. God loves it when you humble yourself as a child.

 5And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. To be humble and kind to others when it is possible.

 6But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. This word offend here is "scandalize" in the Greek #4624 (to trip-up or entice to sin). If you cause someone to trip-up, or lose their faith, you are asking for trouble. God will not allow people to pick on His children.

 7Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! There is always temptations in the world to do wrong, but someone who does the tempting or causes another to fall is in big trouble. This happens many times when someone becomes a bad or evil teacher. BEWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS!

 8Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. This represents the many member body of the church, not to physically cut off a human limb. If you have false teachers or troublemakers within the church, cut them off and get rid of them. (those who get off into false teachings and traditions of men).

 9And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Those who claim to be prophets. God has shown us all things through the prophets in His Word. There is no need for modern day prophets. Christ should be the eye of the church.

 10Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. The children of God! Those who God has called to serve Him. If you are serving God, there are angels who will watch over you.

 11For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. Christ came to save the lost sinner. Never be afraid to hang around sinners; Christ did. He came for the lost, not the saved.

 12How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? Just a natural reaction to go off and save the lost one because of our compassion within.

 13And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Rejoices because he found the lost one. Just as the angels rejoice when another lost soul is saved.

 14Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. It is Gods will to save all the lost. (II Peter 3:9)

 15Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. If a brother or sister sins against you, go to them in private and try to work it out. If they listen and admit it, you have won back a friend.

 16But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If they do not listen, then take along two witnesses with you so you cannot be falsely accused while trying to work it out.

 17And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. If they still do not listen, take it to the church, and if they refuse to hear the church, take them to court.

 18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Whatever you hold onto on earth will be held in heaven and what you forgive on earth will be forgiven in heaven.

 19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. We are speaking of those who serve God.

 20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. In His name! This means doing the work of God. Not asking for a new car or boat etc. God will supply you with the means if you do His work and teach His Word, not mans word or traditions of men.

 21Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? In the old law you were to forgive someone three times. Peter even added a little extra with his question.

 22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. In other words, always forgive them if they repent. If someone wrongs you and they repent, forgive them. It may take some time to build trust with that person again, but if they repent, forgive them.

 23Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. The king wanted to bring his accounts up to date.

 24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. A talent is around 750 ounces of silver. (Approximately $10,000,000)

 25But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. Cleaned him out!

 26The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. He was willing to pay the debt.

 27Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. The king was filled with compassion and forgave his debt. Our Heavenly Father has a lot compassion for us all.

 28But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. After this guys huge debt was forgiven by the king, he went out and tried to collect about 2,000 that was owed to him. He went as far as to grab the guy by the neck and demanded payment.

 29And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. This fellow servant was also willing to pay the debt if he could have a little time.

 30And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. The greedy man would not wait and cast him into prison till the debt was paid.

 31So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. The mans friends went and told the king what had happened.

 32Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: The king called the man before him and told hid; You evil hearted wrench! I forgave you all that tremendous debt, just because you asked me to.

 33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? Shouldn't you have mercy on others as I had on you.

 34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. The angry king sent the man to the torture chamber until he had paid every last penny due.

 35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. The Heavenly Father shall do the same to those who do not forgive their brothers and sisters in Christ. Christ gave us this example to show us how important it is to forgive others just as we are forgiven by our Heavenly Father for our sins. If we repent, we are forgiven. If someone repents for a wrong they have committed against us, we should forgive them.

Matthew 19

 1And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; Christ had finished His teachings on how to become Christians and went across the river to the east side.

 2And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. They knew He was the real thing as He healed their sick.

 3The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? The Pharisees (religious community) came to Christ trying to set Him up to say something that would ruin Him. Do you permit divorce? They asked. Understand that many of these people that were following Christ were coming from their churches and they did not like that.

 4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, It's in the bible; haven't you read?

 5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? They are joined together and spiritually become one.

 6Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. No "man" may divorce what God has joined together. With God all things are possible. God does not like divorce, but one can divorce and be forgiven. God is a divorcee himself when He divorced Israel. (Jeremiah 3:7-8). Remember at this time Christ had not been crucified yet; but after His crucifixion, He paid the price for all. The sin of divorce can be forgiven upon repentance. Do not let any man or religious denomination ever tell you that you are living in sin when you are divorced, or cannot re-marry. Many churches will try to make second class citizens our of divorced people and it is just not biblical. Some will tell you that you may never re-marry after divorce and they are flat out liars.

 7They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? Why is it written in the law of Moses that a man may divorce? (Deuteronomy 24:1).

 8He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. Because of your hearts, not Gods!

 9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. In a unbelievers world this would be true. But in a believers world, Christ can forgive all these sins.

 10His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. It would be better if one could live the Christian life and not be married.

 11But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. But, all men cannot live the life of celibacy; but only those whom God helps.

 12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Some choose this life as eunuchs (emasculated or castrated), and some refuse to marry for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. For the deeper student on a spiritual level one would also not fall into a spiritual marriage with anti-Christ at his return, but would wait for spiritual marriage with the real Christ when He returns.

 13Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. Christ was tired and the disciples wanted to send the children away not to bother Him.

 14But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Christ was trying to explain that to enter into Heaven, you must become as a little child. Open minded and free from all the junk that has piled up over the years. (False teachings and traditions of men).

 15And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. He blessed the children before He left.

 16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? What must I do to have eternal life. This man was thinking of just works; but salvation does not come from works, but by faith. But, once we are saved God wants us to do His good works by spreading the gospel "to the lost souls."

 17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. If you want to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments. Many will tell you that the law was done away with when Christ came; but Christ came to fulfill the law, not destroy it.

 18He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, The man asked which commandments and Christ answered him.

 19Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

 20The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? The young man said to Christ that he had kept all those laws. How many times have we heard that one from people or preachers.

 21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. If you want to be perfect like you say, go and sell all you have and give it to the poor and build your treasures in heaven.

 22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. The man was rich; but the only problem is that he was a rip-off artist. All his wealthy gains were from coveting other peoples goods. One of the commandments Christ left out. This man could not let the riches go. How many rip-off artists do we have in the world today? It's all about the money!

 23Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. It is almost impossible for a rich man to get into the Kingdom of Heaven. (A man that is rich with God's blessings will have no problem, but the money cannot become the top priority in his life or be from ill gotten gains).

 24And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. During this time there were two gates to the walled cities. The large main gate for during the day, and the small entrance gate called (the needle gate) for the evening when the main gate was closed. A camel would not fit through the needle gate unless it was first unloaded of it's goods. It is the same for one who must unload all his or her ill gotten gains to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Some will, but many will not! Again it is all about the money to them.

 25When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? Who can be saved then the disciples asked?

 26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. It is impossible for you to save yourself, but with God, all things are possible. That is why God gave His only begotten Son to die and be sacrificed for all the sins of the world.

 27Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? Peter said to Christ; we left everything to follow you, what do we get out of it?

 28And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. When I the Messiah, shall sit upon my glorious throne in the Kingdom, you my disciples will sit with me to judge the twelve tribes of Israel. (Ezekiel 44:15-24 tells of the Zadok who will help judge).

 29And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. If you put yourself out for me and put me first over family, friends, money and property, you shall have everlasting life.

 30But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. Speaking of those who overcame in the first earth age.

Matthew 20

 1For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. This is another illustration of what the Kingdom of Heaven is like.

 2And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. The common pay at this time. ("A denarius," the payment for a day's labor; equivalent to $20 in modern times).

 3And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, This would be around 9:00 a.m. when he hired the other workers.

 4And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. God is always fair.

 5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. This would be around 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. when he hired these two groups of workers.

 6And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? Now it is around 5:00 p.m. when he hired the last group of workers. Remember these were the "last" workers he hired in relation to the first.

 7They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. These men were standing idle; not that they did not want to work, but because no one ever hired them. For the deeper student in the spiritual sense, not one had ever "taught" them. (Remember that we are speaking of what the Kingdom of Heaven is like).

 8So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. Again God is always fair. Our Heavenly Father is going to give a spiritual lesson here that they did not understand.

 9And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. The last workers hired received $20.

 10But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. The men hired earlier in the day also received only $20, but they thought they should receive more.

 11And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, They started to complain, but that is what they agreed upon.

 12Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. They thought that because they worked a little longer, that they should get more pay.

 13But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? This is what they agreed upon when they were hired.

 14Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. It is my desire to pay all the workers the same. Again, God is always fair.

 15Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? It is lawful to do what I wish with my own money and you should not be angry because I am kind. They still did not get the spiritual message.

 16So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. Speaking of those who overcame in the first earth age. They were first then but will be called last at the end of this world age because God can count on them to stand against anti-Christ at the proper time. Those in the first earth age may have earned more, but God gives those in this earth age a chance to catch-up!

 17And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, The twelve apostles in private.

 18Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, Betrayed to the leaders of the religious community.

 19And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again. Will rise again and death will be defeated.

 20Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. Both sons came and worshipped Him and their mother asking a favor.

 21And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. She wanted her two sons to sit on both side of Christ. We know that the bible tells us that only God sits next to Christ. She wanted one of her sons to take the place of God. I don't think she even realized what she was asking.

 22But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. Christ asked them if they could go through what was about to happen to Him. They said they could do it.

 23And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. Your going to die that death, it is written. But, only God can decide who will sit with Him on the throne. Never try to insult God by trying to get to the top of the list in Heaven.

 24And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren. The other disciples were angered when they heard what James and John had asked for. They felt they have been wronged.

 25But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. They lord it over those beneath them.

 26But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; Among you it will be different. Anyone wanting to be a leader among you must first be your servant.

 27And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: And if you want to be right at the top, you must be a slave to God first. (You must desire to serve God as a slave).

 28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. You must have an attitude as Christ when He came. He did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life for many. Why? To defeat death! (Hebrews 2:14).

 29And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. Vast crowds followed Him because they like what He said and did.

 30And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. They knew He was the Messiah.

 31And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. The crowds told them to be quite, but they only yelled out louder to Christ. Why? Because they knew He was the Messiah and they had faith in Him. No doubt!

 32And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? I'm ready to serve you because of your faith.

 33They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. They were blind and wanted to see.

 34So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. Jesus touched them and instantly they could see, and followed Him. Their eye were also spiritually opened. These two were physically blind but they still knew that He was the Messiah because if their faith. Many today can physically see, but they are spiritually blind. We must remove the blinders from traditions of men and false teachings. We must have faith in the Word and never doubt God, and our spiritual eyes will be opened.

Matthew 21

 1And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, Bethphage meaning the "house of figs."

 2Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. Go to the village and bring them to me.

 3And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. Tell them the master needs them and there will be no trouble.

 4All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, This was done to fulfill the ancient prophecy. Christ fulfilled the scriptures so we would have no doubt.

 5Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. Tell Jerusalem her King is coming to her. This was written in the Old Testament (Zechariah 9:9) speaking of the first advent. Zechariah 9:10 goes on to speak of the second advent. The first advent Christ came for salvation, in the second advent He comes to rule with an iron rod on a white horse.

 6And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, They obeyed Him and did what He had said..

 7And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. They threw their garments over the colt for Him to ride on.

 8And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. They paved the way with their garments and tree branches.

 9And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna meaning "save now."

 10And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? The entire city of Jerusalem was stirred as He entered.

 11And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

 12And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, He came to the temple and it was filled with a bunch of rip-off money changers. In this time you were to offer the best that you had to God, but these rip-offs were selling mite infested doves.

 13And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. Turned the temple of God into a bunch of beggars and house of rip-offs. Just like many churches do today. There are a few good churches out there that teach the truth of God's Word, so if you find one that teaches chapter by chapter and verse by verse, stick with them.

 14And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. Because He was the real thing. Not like a bunch of phony healers you will find today. Just send us a donation and you will be blessed and healed.

 15And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, The chief priests and scribes wanted to kill Him because He messed up their play house. You cannot play church and be pleasing to God!

 16And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? Quoting from (Psalms 8:2). For the deeper student, He was also talking about that little babe David who slew Goliath. Goliath received the deadly wound symbolic of the deadly wound the one world political and religious system receives in the book of revelation.

 17And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there. Bethany also called the "house of misery."

 18Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 

 19And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. It was not the season for figs. This was an example of the good and bad figs, addressing the generation of the fig tree. The bad figs representing the kenites.

 20And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! How did the fig tree wither so quickly they asked?

 21Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Mountain as used here is always symbolic of nation. We are speaking here of the kenite nation that shall be conquered. Christ cleansed the temple once and He will cleanse it again at His return in the second advent.

 22And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Anything you ask to do His work and believe, you shall receive. We are not talking here of the luxuries of man. God will grant to those doing the work of the Lord. God will always supply the the blocks, but you need to do the building.

 23And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? By what authority did you cleanse our house they asked? The chief priests and religious leaders thought that it was their house. It is the house of God; and it belongs to Him.

 24And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. I'll tell you if you can answer one question first Christ replied. You see, Christ was very wise and knew how to put people on the spot when He needed to.

 25The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? They would of excepted John if they believed.

 26But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. John was the prophet of prophets. He proved it! They were caught in their own disbelief.

 27And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. They could not answer the question. Christ shut them up with His wisdom, and He did not answer their question either.

 28But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. Here come another parable for them to try and understand.

 29He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. The son would not go at first, but later changed his mind and went.

 30And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. The youngest son said he would go but did not go at all. 

 31Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. Which of the sons obeyed his father Christ asked. They replied "the first son, of course." Christ answered them and said that evil men and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom before you do. Why? The lesson here is repentance. Neither of the two sons obeyed their father at first, but the one son repented and then went to the vineyard to work. The chief priests and religious leaders should have know better if they read the scriptures.

 32For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. John the Baptist told chief priests and religious leaders to repent and turn to God, and they wouldn't listen. Evil men and prostitutes listened to John and repented. And even when the chief priests and religious leaders saw this happening, they still refused to repent, and so they couldn't believe.

 33Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: The vineyard represents Israel and the husbandmen knew how to take care of things. The watchmen for the tower.

 34And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. He expected something in return at harvest.

 35And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. The same way that the prophets through the years have been treated.

 36Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. More were sent and they were treated the same way. Even the last of the prophets before Christ's advent, talking of John the Baptist.

 37But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. Christ was sent by the Heavenly Father for reverence. (to be loved). Remember that all souls belong to God for His will. (Ezekiel 18:4)

 38But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. They wanted to kill the Son (which they did) and take everything over. (Psalms 2:2-6)

 39And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. Speaking of the crucifixion.

 40When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? What will our Heavenly Father do to those responsible. They were murderers! They produced no fruit and no truth in the Word. Churches and ministries are to bring forth truth (good fruit), not traditions of men and false teachings. These murderers are the tares that are going to the lake of fire.

 41They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. They did not understand that Christ was talking about them.

 42Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Have Ye Not Read The Scriptures? The chief cornerstone they rejected was Christ, the Savior. (Psalms 118:22-24)

 43Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. The Kingdom of God will be taken away from them, and will be given to a nation (or those) who will give God His share of the crop. Those who have the truth and please the Father.

 44And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. All who stumble on this rock of truth shall be broken, but those it falls on will be scattered as dust. God is not happy with those who misuse His children.

 45And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. They finally realized that Christ was speaking of them.

 46But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. The chief priest and the religious leaders wanted to get rid of Him, but were afraid to try because of the crowds, for they accepted Jesus as a prophet.

Matthew 22

 1And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, Christ spoke in parables because it was not meant for everyone to hear at that time. Christ came as saviour, it was not time for them to know the full truth.

 2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, This is the wedding story to explain how to get to the King and His dominion.

 3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. The majority would not come when His servants called them. Just as many servants were sent before Christ and no one accepted them. (Such as John the Baptist).

 4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. All things were made ready.

 5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: They just ignored the calling and went on with their professions making money. No time for God! To busy making money and partying. (Pulled away from the blessings of God).

 6And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. They treated shamefully, beat and killed some of the messengers. Many were treated this way in the past trying to bring forth the message of God.

 7But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. God does not like murderers!

 8Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Those invited and refused are not worthy of the wedding. (Spiritually speaking, there was no wedding at the first advent, but will be at the second advent).

 9Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. Go to the streets and invite everyone you see. Those who are capable. The wedding feast of the Lamb at the second advent. (Revelation 19:7-8).

 10So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. They excepted the invitation, believed and repented and attended the wedding.

 11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: Spiritually speaking, the robe being the righteous acts of God's children. Revelation 19:8, speaks of the robes God's children will be wearing and that they are the righteous acts of the saints.

 12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. No righteous acts.

 13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Just as it will happen to many who will face the second death.

 14For many are called, but few are chosen. Plenty of altar calls, but called to what? False teachings and traditions of men. God does not want us to follow the ways of the world, their philosophies, or traditions of men. (Colossians 2:8). Follow Christ!

 15Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. The Pharisees were going to try and trick Christ into saying something they could arrest Him for. No way!

 16And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. The Herodians were a Jewish political party and government officials. (Satan's apostles if you will). And here comes Satan's main method of operation, to build someone up and try and catch them off guard.

 17Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? Is it lawful to pay your taxes?

 18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Hypocrites (Phonies and play actors), who are you trying to fool with your trick question?

 19Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. Show me a coin.

 20And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? Who's name is beneath the picture?

 21They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. Give to Caesar if it is his, and give to God everything that belongs to God. Always pay your taxes and stay legal. This protects your right to serve God.

 22When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way. His reply surprised and baffled the government officials and they went away.

 23The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, The high priests who did not believe in the resurrection.

 24Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. They addresses Him as "Great Teacher." And asked Him a question about the resurrection. Pulling from the "Law of Moses." (Deuteronomy 25:5).

 25Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: Here we have a family of seven brothers, and the first of them married and died without children, so the widow became the second brother's wife.

 26Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. This brother also died without children, and the wife was passed to the next brother, and so on till she became the wife of all seven brothers.

 27And last of all the woman died also. And them the woman died.

 28Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. They wanted to know who's wife she would be in the resurrection.

 29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. Jesus answers the false teachers; God has the power to do whatever He wills. He can raise the dead and is the God of the living. (Ecclesiastes 12:7). Their error was caused by their ignorance of the scriptures.

 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. In the resurrection there is no marriage; everyone is as the angels in heaven. (Spiritual bodies, angelic beings). We are spiritually married to the Lamb.

 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, Don't you ever read the scriptures? It is written!

 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. God of the living. God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. (Exodus 3:6, 16)

 33And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. Astonished because it was written and correct.

 34But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. The Pharisees who believed in life after death were feeling pretty good now because they felt they were on the right track.

 35Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Now here comes one of the higher critics, a scripture lawyer to try and trip up Jesus again. Not a chance!

 36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Which is the most important command in the law of Moses. Trying to trip up God on the law.

 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This covers the first five commandments which are spiritual in this one statement.

 38This is the first and great commandment. All the first five are covered here. Christ is so wise in His answers.

 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. All the last five commandments are covered with this statement.

 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Christ covered all the ten commandments in two commandments. Again, so wise in His answers.

 41While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Remember that the Pharisees believed in life after death, so they felt they had something in common with the teachings of Christ.

 42Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. They did not want to believe that Christ was the Son of God.

 43He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, Then why does David under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, call Him Lord.

 44The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? For David said, 'God said to my Lord, sit at my right hand until I put your enemies beneath you feet.'

 45If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? Since David called Him 'Lord,' how can He be merely his Son? The messiah was the Son of God. Christ was quoting from the Old Testament Psalm 110, about David.

 46And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions. They had no answers. They always failed in their questions. After that no one dared ask Him any more questions.

Matthew 23

 1Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Addressed the whole crowd of people and His disciples at this time.

 2Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: Moses was the law giver. (Deuteronomy 5,6). The Scribes and Pharisees were changing the law so much they thought they were Moses. (More traditions of men). Sound familiar?

 3All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. Kind of like do as I say, not as I do. They talk about the Word and put on a good show, but they are not doing it God's way.

 4For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. They load you up with impossible demands that they can't even keep themselves. Never let anyone put you in bondage by their by-laws and traditions.

 5But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments. All done for show! They act holy by wearing little charms or prayer boxes and long fancy robes.

 6And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues. They love to sit at the head table at banquets and right up front in the reserve seats at church.

 7And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. They love titles like Rabbi, Master, Father or Reverend and like to be called by them. Super preachers! 

 8But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. Never let anyone call you that. Only God is your Rabbi or Master and only God deserves reverence. Everyone else in the many member body of Christ is equal.

 9And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. And never address anyone here on earth as 'Father,' for only God in heaven should be addressed like that.

 10Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. Let no man call you master. For Christ is your master. Christ is everything! Christ served us all on the cross.

 11But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. To be the greatest you must serve. The more lower your service to others, the greater you are. Even Christ served!

 12And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. But, those you think themselves as great (self righteous hypocrites), shall be disappointed and humbled; and those who humble themselves shall be exalted.

 13But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. These self righteous hypocrites close the Kingdom of Heaven to others as they pretend to be holy. If you remember; the beatitudes were at the beginning of Matthew in chapter 5. The eight beatitudes were the teachings of Christ as taken from the law of Moses. Here we have the eight woe's taught by the would be teachers and religious leaders. They are the exact opposite of what Christ taught in the beatitudes. Another reference to compare the two would be appendix #126 of the companion bible.

 14Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. They hold long public prayers in the streets looking so holy while they evict widows from their homes. Just plain hypocrites who will receive the greater damnation.

 15Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. They go to all lengths to make one convert, then turn them to twice the son of hell than you are yourselves through false teachings.

 16Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! Their rule is that to swear by God's temple means nothing, you can break that oath. But to swear by the gold in the temple is binding. All about the money. You must do this or that and give this amount. And so it is today. Did you ever notice in many churches today that those who give the most money get the most attention.

 17Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? Blind fools! What is more important, the gold, or the temple that sanctifies the gold?

 18And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. They say that to take an oath by the altar can be broken, but to swear by the gifts of the altar' is binding. In other words, according to these hypocrites, you can break your oath to God, but if you make an oath to pledge money, you are bound by that pledge.

 19Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? God sanctifies all things. Never worship the gift more than the altar.

 20Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. God is the head of the altar. When you swear by the altar you are swearing by it and everything on it.

 21And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. When you swear by the temple, you are swearing by it, and God who lives in it.

 22And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. When you swear by the heavens, you are swearing by the throne of God and by God Himself.

 23Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. These religious leaders worry so much about the tithing, they forget the law and teaching of God's Word.

 24Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. You strain out a gnat and swallow a camel. You worry so much about the things that are not important and ignore the things that count.

 25Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Playing church! It looks so good and holy from the outside, but corruption goes on inside.

 26Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Clean it up from within. We are not just talking churches here, but your minds. Sometimes we need to do a little house cleaning in our minds to get rid of all the junk we consume. False teaching and traditions of men.

 27Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. like beautiful mausoleums full of dead men's bones. Look so sanctified and religious but are full of corruption.

 28Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Try to look like such saintly men in your fancy robes, but underneath in your hearts is every sort of hypocrisy and sin. God will not bless a person who attends such a church.

 29Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous. Build monuments to the prophets killed by your fathers so you look so holy.

 30And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Then say that you would have never acted like our fathers did. Speaking of the Kenites.

 31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. In saying that, you are accusing yourselves of being the sons of wicked men.

 32Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Following their footsteps and are just like them.

 33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Generation here is translated offspring. Evil wicked men. The offspring of Satan.

 34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: You crucified and killed the real prophets. Just like many churches today ridicule real teachers of the Word.

 35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. The ones murdered by the Kenites. (Zechariah 1:1-7)

 36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. Judgment of the centuries shall come upon this generation. (Upon this offspring). Again the Kenites. The Kenites became the bookkeepers for Judah. (I Chronicles 2:55) You can also read of them in (Matthew 13:37-39), as the tares who are the children of the devil.

 37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! They would not listen to the prophets and they would not listen to Christ.

 38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. Why? Because the abomination of desolation will appear there. (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11)

 39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. The second advent of Christ.

Matthew 24

Mathew 24 is one of the most interesting chapters in God's Word. It gives us a look at both tribulations. The tribulation of (anti-Christ), or false messiah which comes first, then the tribulation of Christ, who returns after the anti-Christ. It also gives a a glimpse of the seven trumps, seven seals, and seven vials, pertaining to the end times, also mentioned in Mark 13. His disciples would ask Christ; What would be the sign of your coming? So lets see what Christ would have to say.

 1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. The disciples gave Him a tour of the temple buildings.

 2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. Christ replied; Not one stone shall be left upon another, and all these buildings will be destroyed.

 3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? The word world here is (aion) or earth age. They wanted to know signs bringing us to an end of this world age, not the world itself.

 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Christ made it very clear not to let anyone fool you.

 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Many will come in Christ's name, saying they are Christians and will deceive many with their false teachings and doctrine.

 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. When you see these wars beginning, this does not signal my return. What we should look towards is when they call for peace among all these nations. Wars and rumors of wars have been taking place for some time, but now we are hearing the cry for peace, peace, peace.

 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. We are now experiencing famines, plagues, and earth quakes in many places like never before. We must also keep in mind that the famine in the end times is for hearing the Word of God. (Amos 8:11) This is another bench mark for the end times, because people are starving for the truth of Gods Word.

 8All these are the beginning of sorrows. When you see these things, this is only the beginning of the horrors to come.

 9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Many will be tortured, killed, and hated all over the world because of what true Christians believe and stand for.

 10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Many will fall back into sin and betray and hate one another. Can you see this in the world today?

 11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Many false prophets (So called teachers of the Word), will appear and lead many astray. Just turn of the television, radio or click on the internet and you will find all kinds of deception and false teachings. There are some good churches, television, radio and internet ministries out there, but not that many who teach the truth chapter by chapter and verse by verse. If you find one, stick with them.

 12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Sin will be rampant everywhere and will cool the love of many. You don't need to look to far to see this taking place.

 13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Those enduring to the end shall be saved. Notice it says that those who hang in there till the end will be saved. That means till the return of Christ; the second advent. Not those who think that they are going to be raptured away before the tribulation. Remember that anti-Christ comes first and will deceive many pretending that he is Christ.

 14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. The Good News of the gospel will be preached throughout the whole world for all nations to hear the truth and then finally, the end will come. The time is near. With television, radio, and the internet, this is becoming possible. Even here at the Good News Ministry, we reach and fellowship with members from over 50 countries around the world. And we are just a drop in the bucket. The Word is spreading like a disease and people are hungry for the truth.

 15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) When you see the horrible thing standing in the holy place spoken by Daniel the prophet. (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11) Remember that Satan is coming first as anti-Christ, and he comes in peace. (Daniel 11:21)

 16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Those in Judea should flee into the Judean hills. For he is the fake Christ and comes to deceive many if they let him.

 17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Literally, "roof tops" which being flat, were used as porches at the time. (Acts 10:9) They are not to even go inside to pack a bag before they flee.

 18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Those working in the fields should not even return to their homes for their clothes.

 19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! We are not necessarily speaking of pregnant women. This is also a warning to those who fall for the anti-Christ. Christ is returning for a virgin bride spiritually speaking. But, He will return and find that many have become spiritually impregnated by anti-Christ. Nursing along his teachings, not God's Word. Stay a spiritual virgin for the return of Christ. Do not be deceived by Satan!

 20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: The city gates were closed on the Sabbath and not only would winter be a bad time to flee, but it is out of season for the locust. The locust army of Revelation 9, which tells us that this army of locust will prey of those without the seal of God. Remember we are talking of the end times here and the return of anti-Christ as well as the return of Christ. I am not setting any dates here, but this could be a good time to be on guard for these things to take place. (May thru September).

 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. There will be persecution such as the world has never seen before in all history, and will never see again.

 22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. In fact, unless those days are shortened, all mankind will perish. But, for the sake of God's chosen, those days will be shortened. (Speaking of the 1,290 of Daniel 12:11) The time of the locust army that will be shortened to a five month period. (Revelation 9:5, 9:10)

 23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. Don't believe it if anyone tells you that Christ has returned at this time or arrived at such a place. Remember that the anti-Christ returns first pretending to be Christ.

 24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Many who claim to be Christian and prophets of God will arise and do wonderful miracles, and if possible even deceive God's elect. You can start to see it today in our society. Those who prey on the weak minded with their hands on healings. Even some who may think they are of the elect are being deceived by false teachings and doctrines such as the rapture. The true elect will not be deceived. They know better!

 25Behold, I have told you before. See, I have warned you! God has foretold us all things if we study His Word.

 26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. If they tell you Christ is in the desert, or hiding in a secret place, do not believe them. As long as you are in this flesh body, the true Christ has not returned yet. The minute Christ returns to the mount of Olives, we will all be changed to our spirit bodies. (I Corinthians 15:44, 51, 52)

 27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. He will return to Jerusalem, to the mount of Olives when He cleanses the temple. (Zechariah 14).

 28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. The word eagle here, (that some translate as vulture), is (aetos) Strong's Greek #105 (from it's wind like flight). Same as #109 and #5594 (breath of life).

 29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: These stars that fall from heaven will be Satan and his band of fallen angels when they are cast out by Michael the arch angel. Literally the powers of heaven shall be shaken. (Ephesians 6:12)

 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And then literally, the coming of the Son of Man shall return. There will be deep mourning all around the earth. Why mourning? Because of those who were deceived by anti-Christ and false teachings. Never caring about searching for the truth of God's Word. God will say; I never knew you, get out of my sight!

 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. The angels shall gather the elect (the chosen ones), from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven. This will take place at the 7th trump. The four winds are the four spirits that will bring this dispensation to an end. The same winds spoken of in Revelation 7.

 32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: The summer is the harvest of the fig tree. Another clue in the season of the harvest of the earth and Christ's return. The chute was set in the year 1948 when Judah became a nation. This is the generation of the fig tree. The harvest of the good and bad figs are spoken of in the book of Jeremiah 24. Speaking of Judah and the Kenites. The Kenites being the bad figs. The time is nearing the end of this generation of 1948.

 33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. The subject hear is the return of Christ. When you see these things beginning to happen, you know that the time is near. The word "it" hear should read, He is near, not it.

 34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. What generation? The generation of the fig tree, (The last generation), or generation of 1948. This generation is starting to get a little old and gray at this time.

 35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Speaking of this heaven and earth age. The Word will remain forever. That is why we need to study God's Word and forget all the traditions of men, false teachings, and church clicks that do not stick to the truth of the Word.

 36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Only our Heavenly Father knows (that instant), when the end will come. That is why people need to get their act together!

 37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. It will be just as in the days of Noah before the floods came.

 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, This word (Noe) here is Noah. What were they doing in those days before the floods came? They were partying, and giving in marriage to the Nephilim, (the fallen angels), under the influence of Satan. (Genesis 6:2-4). It is going to happen again when Satan and his band of fallen angels are kicked out of heaven down to earth by Michael the arch angel. (Revelation 12:7-9). That is why a woman should have power over her head (meaning Christ) as stated in (I Corinthians 11:10). Not the power of her husband. Christ should be her spiritual husband. Only Christ and knowledge of God's Word will protect us in the end times.

 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. People would not believe it till the flood came and took them away. The same will happen when Christ returns. How many time have you heard someone say; that won't happen in my time, they have been saying this for years now. You might even hear some say; I don't need to worry, I am going to be raptured away and avoid the tribulation. Raptured by who? The anti-Christ who comes first. Do not be deceived like those in Noah's day. It will be to late!

 40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Again, taken by who? Taken by the anti-Christ and his band of angels. There are many who also believe that those who are taken in the field are raptured by the anti-Christ, but if there is no rapture by Christ, then there is no rapture by anti-Christ. (Keep in mind that we are talking spiritually here). They are spiritually taken by anti-Christ through deception. No one is going to physically fly-away whether they believe in the rapture or not. Remember we need to follow the subject here, which is the return of anti-Christ and the way it was in Noah's day. Who was taken by the flood? The ones that did not listen to Noah and were deceived. Noah remained right here on earth, he wasn't deceived or raptured away.

 41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Again, the one's taken have been deceived by the anti-Christ. We are to remain working in the field doing God's work. (the field is the earth). What does your pastor teach? The truth of God's Word; or does he teach traditions of men?

 42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. What hour? The hour of temptation. A good watchmen watches the prophecies and the signs given to us in the Word. Not a bunch of junk and traditions.

 43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. In other words, do not be spiritually asleep.

 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Be ready for the unannounced return of Christ. Do not be to spiritually relaxed. Now let me ask you this; what would be the most relaxed hour for those who will be deceived? When the anti-Christ returns first pretending to be Christ. If you already think Christ has returned, you will be to relaxed and miss the return of the true Christ. Again, what hour? The hour of temptation. That one hour when all people are in confusion. (That hour of Revelation 17:12) When fully established, it will be that time of the "one world political system"  spoken of in Revelation 13. Remember that Christ has told us all these things. (II Thessalonians 2:5)

 45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Are you a wise and faithful servant of the Lord? He gives us "meat" to feed the children, day by day, not just milk. Were talking of strong truth in God's Word. Something of substance that you can hold on to and not be deceived.

 46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Blessings to those who are doing the work of the Lord at His return. Not flying away, but those who remain in the field. Remember the "woe" of verse 19, those giving suck and nursing along the works of Satan.

 47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. Christ will put the faithful ones in charge of everything He owns. (This is nearing the millennium).

 48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; But, if you are biblically illiterate and evil, and say to yourself that Christ won't be coming for a while.

 49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; If you begin oppressing your fellow servants, just partying and getting drunk. Giving and taking with nephilim; verse 38. Because of deception. Even God will send strong delusion, to believe a lie on people like this. (II Thessalonians 2:11) There is no sin or shame in being biblically illiterate, but it is a sin to stay that way. Study God's Word.

 50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, Thinks he is already here, but it is the false Christ.

 51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. He will say; I never knew you! Those deceived will be sent off to judgment with the hypocrites. And yes, there will be a lot of weeping in that day. Do not be deceived!

Matthew 25

 1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. These would be all ten Christians that would be attending the wedding. Remember that we are to remain spiritual virgins when Christ returns as the bridegroom.

 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Lets see what the wise ones did and see what the foolish ones did. Remember that the first step to wisdom is to revere and obey the Lord. Not some man!

 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: A Christian is to reflect the light of Jesus Christ. Oil used here is (Elahyon) or anointing oil. From the word (Elyon) The Most High Sacred name of God.

 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. The wise ones took the oil, Gods anointing, or the Word of God that they knew very well.

 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. They slept and got a little sidetracked from what was going on. Just like can happen to us with false teaching and traditions of men.

 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. This would be in the seventh trump hour, at the return of Christ.

 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. The wise ones knew who Christ was and were prepared at His return.

 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. The foolish one had no light in them because they were biblically illiterate. Did not know the real Christ from the false Christ who comes first.

 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. Now remember from verse six that we are talking about 12:00 midnight. It is hard to buy lamp oil at this time in those days. They blew it and were to late, just as you can't buy Gods Word either. You either learn the truth or not, and the truth is given to you by God.

 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. To late for the others who were not ready for His return. What side of the door will you be on?

 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. They begged to get in, but it was to late.

 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. It is to late; I know you not! These are the ones who worship the false messiah (anti-Christ) who comes first.

 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Be prepared, for you should know the season of His return, but we do not know the exact day or hour.

 14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. He called his servants together and gave them each some money for them to invest while he was gone.

 15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. He gave the servants an amount that they could be responsible for according to their ability to earn. Just as God gives us truth in the Word according to our ability to use it and share it. (Make it grow if you will), God is always fair.

 16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. This servant worked and traded until he doubled the money.

 17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. This servant also worked and traded until he doubled the money.

 18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. This servant hid the money and made no profit at all. (Kind of like hiding a truth of the Word within yourself).

 19After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. The lord called the servants together to account for his money.

 20And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. Doubled his money.

 21His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. The joy of the Lord! Remember how he praises this servant.

 22He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. This servant doubled his money also.

 23His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. The joy of the Lord! He praises this servant the same as the one with the more money. The exact same blessing! Why? Because our Lord is always 100% fair. God will only expect from you what He gives you and will never give you anymore than you can handle. God does not play favorites!

 24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: Our Heavenly Father is very strict, but we should be able to cut it, if we call ourselves Christians.

 25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. This servant produced nothing. Afraid to take a chance and share a truth of God's Word. Just hung on to it for himself, and would not share it with others.

 26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Wicked lazy servant! God expects some return on what He gives us.

 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. You could have at least put the money into a bank so I could have gained a little interest. God at least expects us to plant a seed if not a full truth, and He will take it from their. This servant did not even do that.

 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. Give it to someone who will do something with it.

 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. Every man or woman who uses well what they are given shall be given more, and have abundance. But those who are unfaithful, and do not amount to nothing, even the little responsibility shall be taken from them. Do not waste the gifts given to you by God.

 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Remember that the subject here is still the return of Christ. Make sure you are doing God's will and work at His return. Stay away from the false teachings and traditions of men.

 31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: When the Messiah sits upon His throne at the second advent. The watchmen and those who remain working in the field are making it ready for His return.

 32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: This word nations here is "Ethnos" Strong's #1484 in the Greek, meaning non-Jewish or the Gentile people.

 33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Make note that the sheep are on the right, as Christ sits on the right hand of God, and the goats are on the left. This should be a clue that you always want to fish from the right side of the boat.

 34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: The sheep, or those on the right will enter into the Kingdom of God. The Heavenly Father had the plan right from the beginning.

 35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: I was hungry and you fed me. (Fed me the truth of God's Word). I was thirsty and you gave me water. (The living water of Christ for He is that living water). I was a stranger and you took me in your home. (Gave me that place of rest which we find in Christ).

 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Naked and you clothed me. (Clothed with the Gospel Armor of God). Sick and in prison, and you visited me. (Sick and imprisoned to false teachings and traditions of men and this world). Now the truth will set you free!

 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? The righteous ones reply, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?

 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or a stranger, and help you? Or naked and cloth you?

 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? When did we see you sick or in prison, and visit you?

 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. When you did any of these things to my brothers or to the lost, you were doing it to me. We are all one family. When you give a person a truth they can count on, or plant a good seed for the Heavenly Father to make it grow, we are pleasing to Him and will receive the blessings He has promised.

 41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Here we have those on of the left side. (The socialists). Away with you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. These are the ones who will not obey God! Keep in mind that this is for the ones after the millennium. (The thousand year reign and teachings with Christ). Those who will all have the chance to learn the truth, but will still reject the Word of God.

 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: They had the knowledge, but would not share it.

 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Pushed me aside and did not care, leaving me imprisoned to the world.

 44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? When did we see these things? To busy with making money and things of the world that they never have time for any one or any thing else.

 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. When you refused to help the least of these my brothers, or lost ones, you were refusing to help me.

 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. These ones shall go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous into everlasting life. Remember; Fish out of the right side of the boat. Be on the right hand of God where Christ sits.

Matthew 26

 1And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, Finished with the sermon on the mount of olives.

 2Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified. Christ is that Passover lamb slain and has become our Passover. (I Corinthians 5:7-8).

 3Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, The head church at the time and the high priest Caiaphas.

 4And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him. They were thinking of ways to capture and take Jesus quietly to kill Him.

 5But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people. But not during the Passover celebration, they did not want to upset the people, so the first attempt was put off.

 6Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, Bethany means "house of misery."

 7There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. Jesus was being anointed for His burial.

 8But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? They were all angered and complained.

 9For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. Always thinking of the money and missing the deeper meaning. Yes, it is always good to give to the poor, but what was being done here and where it would lead to was for all mankind. A good lesson to us here is to always keep an open mind and look for the deeper meaning.

 10When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. Why criticize the woman, she has done a good thing.

 11For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. Here Christ was about to be crucified and they still didn't get it.

 12For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. She did it to prepare Christ for His burial. How could anyone deny Him that?

 13Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. This woman will always be remembered for what she has done throughout the whole world, wherever the the Good News is preached. You can bet that this woman was guided by the "Holy Spirit" for this anointing. She was the only one who came forward at that moment to do what needed to be done.

 14Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, He went to the chief priests to betray Jesus. No one really knows the mind of Judas or why he betrayed Jesus. Some believe that he wanted to gain favor with the Jewish leaders and others believe that he wanted to gain favor in the Kingdom of God by figuring that God would send His angels to protect Christ after being betrayed. Another point to consider is that Judas Iscariot was a builder of cities, just as the tribes of Cain. (Genesis 4:17). Could he have been a descendant of Cain? He could have very well been a Kenite. But, remember that Judas repented. Also remember that Judas was murdered by the church, he did not commit suicide. (Acts 1:18). The church did not want anyone to know what they have done.

 15And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. How much will you pay to get Jesus in your hands? And they gave him thirty silver coins. Why thirty pieces of silver? Because it was written 600 years before this took place. (Zechariah 11:10-17). Thirty pieces of silver was also the going price for a slave at this time.

 16And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him. Judas watched for the opportunity to betray Jesus.

 17Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? The feast of unleavened bread is what you see in the picture of the twelve apostles and Jesus. We call it the last supper.

 18And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. This was a pre-arranged event about to take place.

 19And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. Feast of the unleavened bread.

 20Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. These are the twelve apostles we see in the picture of the last supper.

 21And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. It is written that a friend would betray me.

 22And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? They were not sure which one of them would betray Jesus. This shows that we all have a little weakness.

 23And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. It is the one I served first.

 24The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Where is it written of Him? (Psalm 22). Written one thousand years before the actual crucifixion.

 25Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said. It was not Christ who accused Judas, it was Judas himself.

 26And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. Representing the body that would receive the stripes at crucifixion while we get the healing.

 27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; He gave thanks to the cup of His own blood.

 28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. The blood and sealing of the new covenant. It is poured out to forgive the sins of multitudes. The old covenant, and all blood ordinances nailed to the cross at the crucifixion. (Exodus 24:8, Hebrews 10, Hosea 6:6) All God desires is your love.

 29But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. The King of Kings when it is reestablished.

 30And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. What hymn did they sing? The hallelujah Psalm. (Psalms 115, 116, 117).

 31Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. Tonight you will all desert me, for it is written in the scriptures. (Zechariah 13:6-7). Everything is planned by God. No surprises and no coincidences. Even the apostles scattered. I believe this is a sign to show us how important it will be for us to stand in the end times.

 32But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. Christ even told them where He was going and they were surprised when He showed up there.

 33Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended. Peter declared, "if everyone else deserts you, I won't." Peter was strong, but would still deny Christ.

 34Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. Christ told Peter straight up that this very night, he would deny Him three times. Do you think that would have offended Peter? Of course it did!

 35Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples. "I would die first" Peter insisted, and all the other apostles said the same thing.

 36Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. Sit and wait till I go and pray.

 37And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. He began to feel anguish and despair.

 38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. My soul is crushed with horror and sadness to the point of death. "Stay here awake with me."

 39And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Jesus was speaking of the cup of wrath He would need to deliver. The next time Christ returns, He comes back with a rod of iron, pouring out the fury of the cup of God's wrath. It is written in the old testament. (Isaiah 51:21-23)

 40And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? The three disciples did not stay awake to watch, not even Peter. For the deeper student, the one hour Christ asked them to stay awake and watch is symbolic of that hour of temptation in (Revelation 17:12-13), when we are delivered up to anti-Christ and Satan rules the one world system. This is the five month period of (Revelation 9:5). We are to be the watchmen for that one hour. (Revelation 3:10-11). The lesson here is that If it happened to Peter, it could happen to you. We must remain spiritually awake in the end-times.

 41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. We are to remain spiritually awake and pray, otherwise temptation will overpower us. Especially during that hour of temptation of anti-Christ. Remember that the flesh is weak, but the spirit remains strong.

 42He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. That is the way that it has to be. The wicked will drink from the cup of wrath at the return of Christ.

 43And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. No discipline! You must remain disciplined in the word, or you will fall spiritually asleep, just as the disciples did.

 44And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Three times Christ prayed that He could spare the cup of wrath, but it is the will of God that it be done.

 45Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the   hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Christ told the disciples that He would be betrayed into the hands of men. That hour is coming soon for us all. Are you going to betray Him? The disciples walked with Christ and could not stand or stay awake at His time of need. This is an example to us. We did not even see Christ, but we believe and live by faith.

 46Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me. Here comes the man that will betray me.

 47And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. At that moment He was speaking, Judas arrived with a crowd of people with swords and clubs, sent by the Jewish leaders. These were church people, not Ceasar's army.

 48Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. Judas had told them to arrest the man that he would greet.

 49And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him. The kiss of death!

 50And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him. Jesus knew what Judas and the crowd had come for. It was written! (Psalms 41:9)

 51And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. Yes, the disciples were armed because of danger in the streets in those days. It was Peter who drew his sword and cut the ear off of the high priests servant. Just as we need to protect ourselves in these days.

 52Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Put away your sword Christ said. "Those using swords will get killed." (Revelation 13:10). We must resist the temptation, because it will be the religious beast that we face. (Revelation 13:11-12) Our sword is the sword of the Lord, (Revelation 1:16) The Word of God!

 53Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Christ said to the disciples; Don't you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and He would send them instantly. Christ did not need an army of angels. This was meant to be! Yes, Christ could have prevented the crucifixion, but He did it for you!

 54But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? The scriptures must be fulfilled that describe what is happening now. Where is it written? (Isaiah 53)

 55In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. You come to me with weapons like I was a criminal; I haven't been hiding and I taught with you in the temple. This was the church community that was coming for Him.

 56But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled. Again, the scriptures must be fulfilled. Now all the disciples deserted Him and fled. Smite the shepherd and the sheep will scatter. (Zechariah 13:7) Why? As an example to us. We are to stand in the end times, and against the anti-Christ when he appears on the scene. Not run like a bunch of scattered sheep.

 57And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. They brought Him to the head church where all the Jewish leaders were gathering.

 58But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end. Peter followed from behind and went in to sit with the soldiers to see what was going to happen to Jesus.

 59Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; Church leaders! They were looking for a bunch of "Liars" in the church that would testify against Jesus. They wanted to kill Him!

 60But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, Many false witnesses came forward, but they all contradicted themselves and none of their stories held up. But, here comes a couple of higher critiques. (Scripture lawyers).

 61And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. Was this written? Yes... But they twisted the scripture. Jesus never said "I would destroy the temple," but rather "you would destroy the temple," speaking of His body as the temple of God. (John 2:18-21) This was the temple that He would raise up in three days; and He did. Beware of false witnesses!

 62And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? Won't you defend yourself?

 63But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus remained silent. "But the high priest demanded in the name of the living God that Jesus tell them if He claims to be the Messiah, the Son of God."

 64Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. You said it! And in the future you will see me sitting at the right hand of God, and returning on the clouds of heaven. They understood who the Son of Man was.

 65Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. They didn't need any false witnesses; their minds were already made up to kill Jesus.

 66What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. These religious leaders wanted Him dead no matter what. Nice church! Judging people when God is judge.

 67Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, A bunch of hypocrites and phonies. Remember that Satan works the best through churches and pulpits.

 68Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee? Now some of the Roman soldiers join in playing games slapping Jesus on the back of the head to see if He can tell who hit Him.

 69Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. Peter was sitting in the courtyard, probably heart broken from what he just saw, and a girl came over to accuse him of being with Jesus. Remember, Peter said he would rather die than deny Christ back in verses 34 and 35.

 70But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. Here come the first time Peter denies he was seen with Christ.

 71And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. Another girl accuses Peter.

 72And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. Here comes the second time Peter denies being with Christ, and this time with an oath.

 73And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee. Now a couple of men that were standing there came over and accused Peter of being one of Christ's disciples and said we know you are because you speak with a Galilean accent.

 74Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. Peter was angry now and denied he even knew Christ for the third time and the cock crowed. This is an example to us. Peter was spiritually strong, but the flesh took over. Even a Spiritually strong Christian can be taken over by the flesh, if you let it happen. Will you deny Christ when the time comes?

 75And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. Peter was crushed and went away crying bitterly. It happened just as Christ said it would happen with Peter. Can you understand what Peter must have went through? Barjona (son of a dove); As Christ called him at times. As it was written he denied Christ three times, but later would be used to establish the Christian church.

Matthew 27

 1When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: All the head Deacons from the whole denomination. They wanted to put Jesus out of business for teaching truth. Only the Roman government had the authority to pronounce you to death at this time.

 2And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. Delivered to the main guy.

 3Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Judas repented and wanted to back out of the deal. He did not think that it would come down to killing Christ. At this point, Judas was very dangerous to Pilate and the chief priests. They knew that Judas might reveal their plot to kill Jesus to the people. 

 4Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. They told Judas that was his problem and that they did not need him anymore.

 5And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. Judas did not hang himself, he had help from others. (Acts 1:16-18). Do not judge Judas; Remember that he repented for what he had done. Judas had no choice, it was written that he would betray Jesus by David in the old testament. (Psalm 41:9)

 6And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. It was blood money, and unlawful to put it in the collection basket.

 7And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. They took the money and bought a certain field where the clay was used by potters, and made it into a cemetery for foreigners who died in Jerusalem.

 8Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. That is why the cemetery is still called "The Field of Blood."

 9Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; Thirty pieces of silver was also the going price for a slave at the time. Jeremiah the prophet spoke it, he did not write it.

 10And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me. It is written. (Zechariah 11:13)

 11And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. You said it Jesus replied! (No declaration here).

 12And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. They made many accusations against Him, but Jesus remained silent. Again; it is written! (Isaiah 53).

 13Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? "Don't you hear that they are talking against you?"

 14And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly. But, Jesus said nothing, much to the governor's surprise. (Pilate considered religion a superstition, so it wasn't that big of a deal to him).

 15Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would. Pilate was trying to pacify the elders and the people. The governors custom was to release one Jewish prisoner each year during Passover celebration.

 16And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. Barabbas was a well known very bad prisoner. (Probably a kenite).

 17Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? These were the kenites pushing this decision.

 18For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. Delivered up for jealousy because of His popularity with the people.

 19When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. Pilate's wife sent him a message to "leave that good man alone; because she had a terrible nightmare concerning Him the night before." 

 20But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. The kenites were the ones doing the dirty work here and stirred up the crowds against Jesus.

 21The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. The crowds picked Barabbas to save. Barabbas; (Son of the father), but which father?

 22Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. They were furious; and called on Christ to be crucified!

 23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. Pilate again demanded. What has this man done wrong? But again they spoke with authority; "Let Him be crucified." (You can bet that these were also men of authority in the religious community).

 24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Pilate could not sway them to release Jesus; so he washed his hands of it. It was the church who sentenced Jesus to death. Nice church; and I bet they looked so holy. How is your church doing?

 25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Kenites don't care. Never blame our brother Judah for this heinous crime. It was the kenites in the crowed that wanted Jesus crucified and delivered Him up, and the Romans were the one's who crucified Him.

 26Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. After Pilate was pleading for Jesus, he had to release Barabbas because the crowds demanded it. He whipped Jesus and gave him to the roman soldiers to take Him away and be crucified.

 27Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. The roman army.

 28And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. Trying to shame the people.

 29And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! They placed that crown of thorns on His head and knelt before Him in mockery.

 30And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. Beating even the crown of thorns on His head.

 31And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. No pity was given to Him.

 32And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. Heading to Golgotha, the skull, or calvary. This is also where Jesus said to the grief-stricken women, "weep not for me but for yourselves." Warning them of the false messiah when he returns. (Luke 23: 27-31)

 33And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, Golgotha, an Aramaic word meaning "the skull." The Latin is (Calvaria), "a skull," Hence English Calvary. Near the hill "Moriah," where Abraham carried Isaac up to be sacrificed. (Genesis 22:1-2)

 34They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. This was the Romans poor mans wine.

 35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. (Psalms 22:18), written 1,000 years before the crucifixion.

 36And sitting down they watched him there; They sat around and watched Him as He hung there.

 37And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. (John 19:19)

 38Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left. The two malefactors.

 39And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, People passing hurled abuse, shaking their heads at Him.

 40And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. Mockery and slamming Jesus; if you are the Son of God, come down off the cross and save yourself!

 41Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, Even the chief priests and elders mocked Him.

 42He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. It is written that these words would come from the enemies mouth. (Psalms 22:7-8) Again; written 1,000 years before the crucifixion.

 43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. All the chief priests and religious leaders just having a field day mocking Jesus.

 44The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth. Even the malefactors mocked Jesus as they hung there beside Him.

 45Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. From 12:00 noon till three o'clock, the whole earth was covered in darkness.

 46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Christ was not crying for help, and God did not forsake Him.

 47Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. Elias is the Greek for Elijah. Many of them misunderstood and thought that Jesus was calling on Elijah to save Him. Christ was quoting from a Psalm of David. (Psalm 22) Written about the crucifixion 1,000 years before the event took place.

 48And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. Written in (Psalm 69:20-28), they even gave Him (gall) and vinegar to drink. Gull is from the poppy seed plant and vinegar was the poor mans wine.

 49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. Saying to each other, lets see if Elijah comes and saves Him.

 50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. (John 19:30). Christ bowed His head and gave up the Spirit. Ghost is a bad translation, and should be translated as Spirit. (God is not a spook).

 51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; The curtain secluding the Holiest place in the Temple was split apart from top to bottom. Meaning that Christ had paid the price, and there was no more need for sacrifices. Christ was the sacrifice for one in all times. He died for us! Why did He come in the flesh? ( Hebrews 2:12-14)

 52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, Many godly men and women who had died came back to life again. A one time event!

 53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Again, this was a one time event to document that Christ had defeated death. (John 5:19-47)

 54Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. Even the unbelievers were frightened and shocked at what had happened and made them believers.

 55And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: The woman remained as did John, but the others all scattered.

 56Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children. Again, the women remained to care for Him.

 57When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple: This was Joseph "the tin man" Mary's uncle.

 58He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. Joseph was the "kinsman redeemer." This was the law at this time.

 59And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 

 60And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. Written in (Isaiah 53:9), 600 years before the crucifixion.

 61And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. Both Mary's sitting nearby watching.

 62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, They wanted to cover their tracks for what they have done.

 63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. They said to Pilate; that liar said that after three days, He would come back to life again.

 64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. They wanted watch guards on the tomb, to prevent His disciples from coming and stealing the body away.

 65Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. Pilate told them to use their own temple police to guard the tomb.

 66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch. So they sealed the stone and posted guards to protect it from intrusion.

Matthew 28

 1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. This would have been Sunday morning as the new day was dawning.

 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. An angel of the Lord, The Lord's presence itself.

 3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: A glorious arrangement.

 4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. The guards shook with fear and passed out at His presence.

 5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. The angel new they were looking for Jesus, but why here?

 6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. He is not here the angel replied and took them into the tomb to see.

 7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. Go and tell the disciples that He is risen from the dead and He has gone to Galilee to meet them there.

 8And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. The woman ran from the tomb with fear (reverence), but were filled with joy because they had good news for the disciples.

 9And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. As they were running to the disciples with the good news, suddenly Jesus was there in front of them!

 10Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. Jesus told them again; go to Galilee. How many times He repeated this. Just as the word repeats itself to us so we can grasp the truth.

 11Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. The guards who had been guarding the tomb went to the chief priests to tell them what had happened. The problem is that they passed out and kind of missed what went on. So here is their story.

 12And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, The chief priests paid the guards off to keep their mouths shut on what really happened and fabricated their own story. (These were the Kenites who paid the guards off).

 13Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. The guards story was that they fell asleep and the disciples came during the night and stole His body. Many still believe this fabrication today. There has even been a book written on the subject called "The Passion Plot."

 14And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. If the governor finds out about out little plot, we will stand up for you and pay the fine and protect you the council promised.

 15So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. The guards accepted the bribe and said what they were told to say. There story spread widely among the Jews, and is still believed by many of them to this very day. Remember this was arranged by the Kenites, not our brother Judah. (Revelation 2:9), those who claim to be of our brother Judah.

 16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. The disciples left for Galilee, going to the moun
