The lost coin (Luke 15:8-10) | back

8Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? Wouldn't one search for a valuable coin in their house if they had lost one.

9And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. And when they find the coin, they rejoice with friends and neighbors.

10Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. In the same way, the angels in Heaven rejoice every time one of God's children come to repentance. Again, as it is written in ( II Peter 3:9 ) our Heavenly Father is long suffering that all His children come to repentance.
