New wine (Matthew 9:17) | back

17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. Bottles in the Greek means leather bag or wineskin that they stored their wine in. If you have an old wine skin that does not stretch from the fermentation process of wine, it will burst under pressure. Only new wineskins are used for new wine. The same goes for people that are hung-up on church traditions. They can't handle the truth of God's Word!
