The end time (Luke 21:5-36) | back

And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said. Some of the disciples began talking about how beautiful the stone work of the temple was, and how beautiful the memorial decorations on the walls were. But Jesus replied and said to them.

As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. The time is coming when all these things you are admiring will be knocked down. Not one stone will be left standing and it will become one vast heap of rubble. (This will not take place until the return of Christ at the second advent, but it will happen).

And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? The disciples asked when will this happen? And will there be any warnings ahead of time?

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. Jesus replied, Don't let anyone mislead you; many will come saying "I am the Messiah," and the time has come for the end. But don't believe them. (Many so called teachers of the Word will also come in Christ's name, spreading traditions of men and false teachings). Again, don't believe them!

But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. When you here of wars and insurrections beginning, do not be afraid. These things must first come to pass, but the end won't follow immediately.

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Then Christ continued to say, Nations will rise against each other, as will kingdoms. Much of this is taking place today and more is on the way.

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. There will be great earthquakes in many places and famines in many lands. There will be epidemics and terrifying things happening in the heavens. Keep in mind that the famine in the end times is for hearing the Word of God. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD (Amos 8:11).

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. But before all this occurs, there will be a time of special persecution, and you be delivered up to the synagogues and prisons and before kings and governors for my names sake.

And it shall turn to you for a testimony. As a result of this delivering up, the Messiah will be widely known and honored.

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer. Don't be concerned about how to answer the charges against you.

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. Christ tells us that through the Holy Spirit, He will give us the right words and such logic that none of our opponents will be able to reply. (When we are delivered up, we are not to speak on our own, but rather let the Holy Spirit speak through us). But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. (Mark 13:11). Remember that, God is in control! Put your trust in Him, not man.

And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. Even members of your own family will betray you and have you arrested; and some of you will be killed. Why? Because they do not know any better! Many of them will be deceived by the antichrist (as many already are), and they will think they are doing you a favor by delivering you up to him.

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. Many will hate you because you mine and are called by my name. A true Christian!

But there shall not an hair of your head perish. But not one hair on your head shall perish. They can't touch you because you are a true child of the Living God!

In your patience possess ye your souls. If you stand firm, you will win your soul!

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you will know that the time of it's destruction has arrived. The time is near my friend; How are you doing? Are you starving for the truth in the Word?

Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. Then let the people of Judea flee to the hills. Let those in Jerusalem try to escape, and those outside the city must not attempt to return.

For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. These are the days of God's judgment, (literally, "the Son of man"). And the words of the ancient scriptures written by the prophets will be abundantly fulfilled.

But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. We are not necessarily speaking of pregnant women. This is also a warning to those who fall for the antichrist. Christ is returning for a virgin bride spiritually speaking. But, He will return and find that many have become spiritually impregnated by antichrist. Nursing along his teachings, not God's Word. Stay a spiritual virgin for the return of Christ. Do not be deceived by Satan!

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Many will be brutally killed by enemy weapons, and many will be sent away as exiles and captives to all the nations. Jerusalem shall be conquered and trampled down by the gentiles until the period of the gentile triumph ends in God's good time.

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. There will be strange events in the skies and here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.

Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate coming upon the earth, and the stability of the heavens will be broken up.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Then the people of the earth shall see the Messiah (the Son of Man), coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. When all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up; for your salvation is near!

And he spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree, and all the trees. Then Jesus told them to notice the fig tree. The summer is the harvest of the fig tree. Another clue in the season of the harvest of the earth and Christ's return. The chute was set in the year 1948 when Judah became a nation. This is the generation of the fig tree. The harvest of the good and bad figs are spoken of in the book of Jeremiah 24. Speaking of Judah and the Kenites. The Kenites being the bad figs. The time is nearing the end of this generation of 1948.

When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. When the leaves come out on the fig tree you know that summer is near.

So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. The subject hear is the return of Christ. When you see these things beginning to happen, you know that the time is near.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. What generation? The generation of the fig tree, (The last generation), or generation of 1948. This generation is starting to get a little old and gray at this time.

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Speaking of this heaven and earth age. The Word will remain forever. That is why we need to study God's Word and forget all the traditions of men, false teachings, and church clicks that do not stick to the truth of the Word.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Christ warns us to watch out and not to let His sudden coming catch you unaware. Don't let Him find you living in careless ease and drinking; occupied with the cares of this life like the rest of the world.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. like a trap, for that day will come upon everyone living on the earth.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Keep a constant watch and pray that if possible, you may arrive in the presence of our Lord, without having to experience these horrors.
