Many believe we are in a terrible place at this time and it seems that all is lost. Not only this nation, but the whole world is deeply divided and in trouble because of evil spirits and principalities. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12). We are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers of the unseen world. Mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. These evil spirits control the minds of dictators and many that are in high places of power. They control the locust army of terrorists that are trying to destroy our world and Christian values. These evil spirits have worked their way into the weak minds of comedians, talk-show hosts, the media, and members of congress who have no respect for God, or their appointed political leaders. (Exodus 22:28, Hebrews 13:17). These fools are always fueling the fire of aggression to boost their own popularity and ratings. (Like spoiled little children that need to have their own way). They force their perverted ways on Christians who stand for what is right in Gods eyes. Don't fret over trash talking hypocrites always causing trouble, trying to remove God from the equation. "Their day is coming." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:5, Revelations 21:8). They are in the same category as terrorist, perverts, murderers, rapist, and child molesters. "They will never enter the kingdom of God." Now, with that being said, lets turn to Psalm 37 of the old testament to receive some encouragement, and reasons not to worry. "God is in control." Psalm 37 is the third alphabetical Psalm. It seems to have been intended as an instructive and consoling ode for the captives in Babylon (confusion). They felt severely tempted (in envy), when they saw those idolaters in prosperity, and themselves in adversity. Psa 37:1 A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. Don't worry about the wicked, or envy those who are doing wrong to get ahead. (Proverbs 3:31, 24:19, Galatians 5:21).Psa 37:2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. They won't last long, soon to wither and fade away. (Psalm 92:7).Psa 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Trust in the Lord, even though you live in the land of evil doers. With God on your side, you can live safely in the land and get by with all you need.Psa 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Take delight in the Lord and He will take care of you. (Psalm 145:19, John 15:7).Psa 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Give your problems to the Lord and trust in Him, and He will help you. (Psalm 55:22, 1 Peter 5:7).Psa 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Your humble innocence will radiate like the light, and the justice of your cause will shine. (Matthew 13:43).Psa 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Forget about the evil people who prosper in their wicked schemes. Wait patiently for the Lord to act; His ways will make you spiritually rich. (Hebrews 10:36).Psa 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. Sop being angry over evil doers and don't lose your temper. It is not worth it and only leads to harm. (Proverbs 14:29, 16:32).Psa 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. In the near future, all the wicked will be cut off and destroyed. "Those who trust in the Lord will rule the earth." (Psalm 37:29).Psa 37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. Soon the wicked will disappear. In the end times you may look for them, but they will be gone.Psa 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Those who are humble will rule the earth and will live in peace and prosperity. (Matthew 5:5).Psa 37:12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The wicked always plotting against the godly in defiance. (Micah 2:1).Psa 37:13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. Nothing to God, He just laughs at them as we should. (Psalm 2:4). He sees their day of judgment coming soon.Psa 37:14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. The wicked always try to put down and slaughter the poor, and those who do right. (1 John 3:12).Psa 37:15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. Their swords will be turned against them, and their bows shall be broken.Psa 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. It is better to be poor and spiritually rich, than to be evil and wealthy. (Proverbs 3:33, 16:8).Psa 37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. The strength of the wicked will be smashed, but the Lord takes care of the godly. (Psalm 37:24, Isaiah 41:10).Psa 37:18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. You see, day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent. (Psalm 1:6). Their inheritance will last forever. (Romans 6:23, 1 John 2:25).Psa 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. Even in hard times and famine the innocent will have enough. (Proverbs 10:3).Psa 37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. Want to know what happens to the wicked? They will sizzle just as the fat of the lamb and will disappear like smoke. (Psalm 68:2, 92:9, 2 Peter 2:12).Psa 37:21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. The wicked borrow and never repay. (Most go bankrupt). However, the godly are generous givers. (Proverbs 22:7, Psalm 112:5, Psalm 112:9).Psa 37:22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. Blessed by the Lord; you will posses the land. (Proverbs 3:33). "Those cursed by the Lord will die."Psa 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. The Lord will direct the steps of the godly; He delights in every detail of their lives. (Psalm 121:8, Proverbs 16:9). We can make the plans, but the Lord determines our steps.Psa 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. When God is on your side you may stumble at times, but you will never fall; the Lord is always their to lend you a hand.Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. The godly are never abandoned or begging for food. (God takes care of His own).Psa 37:26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. The Godly always help others when they need a loan, and their children are a blessing. "Not a bunch of trouble makers and takers." (Psalm 37:21, Psalm 112:5, Psalm 112:9).Psa 37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. Don't be a lazy bum and a trouble maker. (Killing your own people like they were dogs). Turn from your evil ways and dwell in peace. (Psalm 34:14).Psa 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. God loves justice! He will not abandon the righteous; but the children of the wicked will die.Psa 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. Only the godly will be in control of the land and live there forever. (Proverbs 2:21, 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:7).Psa 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The godly have good counsel teaching right from wrong, but fools are destroyed by lack of common sense. (Proverbs 10:21, 10:31, Matthew 12:35).Psa 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. Follow Gods laws and you will never slip from His path.Psa 37:32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The wicked always look for ways to trash and slay the righteous.Psa 37:33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. The Lord will not let the wicked succeed. (Their time is coming real soon). He will rescue the godly from their trials, and keep the wicked under punishment until judgment day. (2 Peter 2:9).Psa 37:34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Put your trust in the Lord and follow His path. "We will get the victory and the wicked will be destroyed." You see, don't fret and get upset over the wicked and try to get even, the Lord will handle them at the right time. (Proverbs 20:22, Psalm 52:5-6, 91:8, 92:11).Psa 37:35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Look again; they will be gone soon! People may search for them, but they will be no more.Psa 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. Look to those who are honest and good, a wonderful future awaits them.Psa 37:38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. The rebellious troublemakers will be destroyed and have no future. (Psalm 9:17). "All nation who ignore God will go to the grave." The end is near my friend, when the good people will be separated from the wicked. (Matthew 13:49-50, 25:46).Psa 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. The Lord rescues the godly; He is their fortress in all times of trouble. (Psalm 9:9, 91:15).Psa 37:40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
