Isaiah 59
Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: The Lord's arm is not to weak to save you, or His ear to deaf not to hear your call. (God always listens to His obedient children).
Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Did you hear the condition in the last verse. It's because of disobedient children (because of their sins), that He will turn and not listen anymore. (Proverbs 15:29).
Isa 59:3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. You have the hands of murderers, fingers are filthy with sin. You are full of lies and your mouth spews corruption.
Isa 59:4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. No one cares about being honest. All your lawsuits are based on lies, and all your deeds are evil. (James 1:15).
Isa 59:5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper. They hatch deadly snakes (vipers), and weave spiders webs to catch you.
Isa 59:6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. Nothing they do is productive, all their activity is filled with sin. (Zephaniah 3:3-4).
Isa 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. Always running to do what is evil, and they rush to commit murder. (Revelation 17:6).
Isa 59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace. They can't find peace and don't even know the meaning. They map out crooked roads, and anyone who follows them will not find peace.
Isa 59:9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. No justice among them and they know nothing about living right. They look for light, but find only darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
Isa 59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. Like the blind leading the blind. No eyes to see or ears to hear, they stumble through the dark like the dead. (John 12:35).
Isa 59:11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. We cry and mourn and look for justice, but it never comes. You look to be rescued, but it is far from you. (Psalm 119:155).
Isa 59:12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; Their sins piled up before God and testified against them. They knew they were sinning, but didn't care.
Isa 59:13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. We know we have rebelled and denied the Lord. We have turned our backs on the Lord, carefully planning our deceitful lies. (Matthew 12:34-36, Mark 7:21-22).
Isa 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. The courts oppose righteous and justice is nowhere to be found. No truth in them at all! i.e. their law is slacked. (Habakkuk 1:4).
Isa 59:15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. All truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. "No justice around at all." (Everything is corrupt). Sound familiar?
Isa 59:16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. God was amazed that no one stepped in to help the oppressed. So, God Himself will step in to help them. (It's only by God's help that we can be saved).
Isa 59:17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. When Christ returns, He comes prepared with the full gospel armor. (Revelation 19:11). (Prepared for battle). We are to put on the gospel armor if we are to survive the things that are coming in the end times. (Ephesians 6:14-17).
Isa 59:18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. "Payback time is coming." And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (Revelation 19:15). His mouth is a two edge sword. (Revelation 1:16). Striking down the nations with power and He will rule them with an iron grip. This wrath is only against His enemies, not His people.
Isa 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Enemy shall come: Speaking of the antichrist here, when he comes at the sixth trump. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. (Revelation 12:15). The flood of lies from Satan. The world will be deceived, but mainly Christians. The flood of lies after the woman (Christians), those who follow Christ. Remember the man child in Revelation 12:5, speaking of Christ. We as Christians follow Christ and Satan loves to deceive Christians. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. (Revelation 12:16). Mother nature protects us, God always utilizes nature to protect His children. To the none believer it is just overlooked as a freak accident, but God is always in control. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:17). Remnant of the woman seed (Eve), which keep the commandments of God. (Genesis 3:15) But beware of the serpent seed and the difference between the two. (I John 3:8-12) The church of Smyrna and Philadelphia taught who the serpent seed was. The Sons of Cain, the Kenites.
Isa 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. The Redeemer (The Messiah), will come to Jerusalem for those who have turned from their sins. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. (Romans 11:26). Paul is quoting from (Isaiah 59:20), Christ will come as a redeemer to those in Zion who have turned away from sin. "He does the same thing for us all who believe in Him. (Titus 2:14), He died for us and our sins, so that He could rescue us from constant falling into sin and call us His very own. People with enthusiasm for doing good works. What are these good works? Everyone has different good works they can do. It could be to study His Word and share it with others if you are a teacher of the Word. It can be just doing kind things to others. Even a smile towards others can go a long way with making someone's day. For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. (Romans 11:27). This is the covenant with them who return to Him, that He will take away their sins. The promise of the "new covenant." (Jeremiah 31:31-34), a future prophecy when Israel is to be restored.
Isa 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever. The promise of the Lord: His Spirit will not leave them, neither will His Words that He has given us. They will be in the lips of the people forever. Future prophecy: The return of Jesus at the second advent. This coming deliverance for Israel will be final, and cannot therefore as yet have taken place. However, we can enjoy the Spirit of God right now, through the "Holy Spirit." But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:9). Here is the condition again. You are only controlled by the Spirit, if you have the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit), living in you. And remember, those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to Him at all. (I Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, I John 3:24).
Isaiah 60
Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. Arise and come our of darkness. (Ephesians 5:8). The light has come: Christ came once as the light of the world. (John 8:12, 12:46). Glory of the Lord: Refers to the future when Christ returns. (Revelation 21:23, 22:5).
Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. Darkness shall cover the earth: Time of the tribulation period. God's glory will pour out over a dark world. (The condition of the nations just before Israel's future glory shines forth).
Isa 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Gentiles: Nations of the world will be drawn to the light. (Revelation 21:24).
Isa 60:4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Israelites returning to the homeland. Scattered Israel will return (Jeremiah 31:10). All God's children Jew or Gentile (male or female), will return to Christ, and God will carry them, and take care of them. (Matthew 8:11, Galatians 3:28-29).
Isa 60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. Merchants from around the world will come as the roaring of the sea. (Psalm 98:7-9). Speaking of the Gentile nations. (Romans 11:25).
Isa 60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD. The multitude: Streams of caravans will come. Sheba: (Psalm 72:10). Both descendants from Abraham and Keturah. Gold and incense: Referring to their love to the Lord that they will bring. God wants your love. (Hosea 6:6).
Isa 60:7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. Flocks of Kedar: (Isaiah 42:11). Nebaioth: A tribe allied to Kedar, descendant from Ishmael. (Genesis 25:13).
Isa 60:8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? Who are these? Could be Referring to the ships whose sails are compared to wings of doves.
Isa 60:9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. Tarshish: Farthest place from Jerusalem will come first bringing people of Israel home from far away. They will bring their wealth with them and they will honor the Lord.
Isa 60:10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Foreigners will come to rebuild your towns. (Zechariah 6:15). Their kings shall minister: And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. "Nations" plural is #1484 in the Strong's Concordance. Meaning (Ethnos) which are the (non-Jewish) or Gentiles. Abraham was to be the father of all nations. All those saved by the Word of God and His salvation. (Isaiah 60:1-3, 18-22), Spoken of in the prophets of old, talking about the eternity. The Kings = those nation leaders that come to bring glory to God. Written long ago in the old testament. (Isaiah 60:11-12, 18-22), "The time of the end when God dwells with us."
Isa 60:11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. The gates will stay open day and night to receive wealth (their love), from many lands. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. (Revelation 21:25). The gates will be open all the time and the sun will shine as a prism through the firmament. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. (Revelation 21:26). All the nations. (The Ethnos).
Isa 60:12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. Nations that refuse will be destroyed. Still future prophecy and reference to (Revelation 2:26-27).
Isa 60:13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. The glory of Lebanon: (White mountain), a mountain range in Palestine. The cypress, fir, and pine tree, will be used to beautify God's Temple. (The beauty of a Douglas fir at Christmas).
Isa 60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Your enemies will come and bow before you. Those who despise you will kiss your feet. (Revelation 3:9).
Isa 60:15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. Though you were once despised and hated, I will make you beautiful and a joy generation after generation.
Isa 60:16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isa 60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. No more violence, all war and destruction will end. Only praise will be on the lips of those who enter. (Revelation 19:1-6).
Isa 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. No need for the sun or moon to give light, for the Lord will be our everlasting light. (Revelation 21:23, 22:5).
Isa 60:20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. No more sadness when Christ returns, He will be our everlasting light. (Revelation 7:15-17). And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Revelation 21:4). No more pain because all is destroyed including hell. "GONE" The second death.
Isa 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. Only the righteous will remain. They will possess the land forever. (Those who believe in Christ). (Revelation 21:7).
Isa 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time. All this will happen at God's command and only when He is ready. Are you ready to receive His eternal blessings?
Isaiah 61
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; Speaking of the Messiah here. Anointed by the Father to bring the "Good News" to the poor in spirit, and to comfort the broken hearted, and to release those who are in bondage from traditions of men and false teachings.
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; Acceptable year of the Lord: (Leviticus 25:9-13, Luke 4:19, 2 Corinthians 6:2). Vengeance of our God: (Luke 21:22-24, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9). i.e. Reference to the first coming of Christ as well as His second coming. (Zechariah 9:9, 9:10).
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Total restoration for Israel.
Isa 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. The ancient ruins will be rebuilt at the return of Christ. (Amos 9:14-15, Acts 15:16-17).
Isa 61:5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. Strangers: Referring to the Gentiles. Alien: The unknown people.
Isa 61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. Ministers of our God: We are to be ministers of God. But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, (2 Corinthians 6:4). In everything you do, show you belong to Christ. We can endure the trials and tribulations that must be faced. "God will never leave you or forsake you." (Romans 8:35-36).
Isa 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. Israel will get a double portion of honor and prosperity, and everlasting joy.
Isa 61:8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. God loves justice and hates wrong doing. He makes an everlasting covenant with us through the blood of Christ. (Hebrews 13:20-21).
Isa 61:9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed. The descendants (all peoples), will be recognized and honored. (Genesis 22:18).
Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. Those who are saved will have overwhelming joy. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (Romans 5:11). Now we can rejoice in our awesome new relationship with God because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has made us friends with God. (Revelation 7:9-14).
Isa 61:11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. The Lord will show His justice to the nations of the world. Truth will be everywhere, and His righteousness will shine down from heaven. (Psalm 85:11).
Isaiah 62
Isa 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. God will not rest till Jerusalem is safe and restored. Future prophecy of Messiah's intercession for Israel.
Isa 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. The nations will see your righteousness and the leaders blinded by your glory. Jerusalem will dwell safely and be given a new name. "The Lord our righteousness." (Jeremiah 33:16). Could also be a reference to Revelation 2:17. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. (Revelation 2:17). The manna is the truth of God's Word. The stone could identify Christ. (Revelation 3:12, 19:12). But wait, A stone is also used in (Revelation 13:18), to count the number of the beast. Remember their is a true Christ and a false Christ (Anti-Christ) who will come first. Make sure that your stone (your rock) is Jesus Christ, and not the stone used to identify Satan who comes pretending to be Christ.
Isa 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. Crown: (Bridal crown). Jerusalem will shine for everyone to see. And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. (Zechariah 9:16). On that "Day" the Lord will rescue His people, just as the shepherd rescues his sheep. They will sparkle in His land like jewels in a crown. On what day? The Lords day! (Isaiah 11:10-12, II Peter 3:10, Revelation 6:17, 16:14), For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Revelation 6:17) Remember "Revelations Chapter 1 verse 10" this is the Lord's Day, and the wrath of the Lord has come. Who will survive It? There is two tribulations. The tribulation of anti-Christ which comes first and then the tribulation of the real Christ. The first tribulation we stand against the anti-Christ and if you are in Christ, you do not need to worry about the second tribulation, Christ is not coming to harm you.
Isa 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. Jerusalem will never again be called forsaken and the land will no longer be desolate. Your new name will "Hephzibah" (God's delight), and "Beulah" (The Bride of God). You will be a delight to the Lord and He will call you His bride. (Revelation 21:2, 21:9-10).
Isa 62:5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. Your children will commit themselves as a young man commits himself to his bride. We are to commit ourselves to God in the same way. We are the bride of Christ, He is the bridegroom and rejoices over us. However, do not be deceived by the false-Christ who comes first. We are to be as a virgin bride when the true Christ returns, and He does not want us to whore around with the false-Christ.
Isa 62:6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, We are to be the watchmen of the end times. Watch for what? For the time when the true Christ returns at the second advent. (Pray and watch).
Isa 62:7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. Give the Lord no rest until He completes His work. (Keep praying and watching).
Isa 62:8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: The Lord has sworn by His own strength. Future prophecy. "I will never hand you over to the enemy again." The day is coming when everything will be made right, not as before in: (Deuteronomy 28:31).
Isa 62:9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. You raise the grain and you will eat it. You make the wine and you will drink it. "Again, everything made right."
Isa 62:10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. In Isaiah 40:3, the way is prepared for the Messiah. Here, the way is prepared for His people. (Hebrews 12:13).
Isa 62:11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. "A message to the whole world." The Savior is coming! (Zechariah 9:9), but now He comes as King of Kings and Lord of Lord's to set things straight. (Zechariah 9:10). He comes quickly, and His reward comes with Him for every man according to his works. (Revelation 22:12).
Isa 62:12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken. They will be called "God's Holy People." A chosen generation. (1 Peter 2:9). A redeemed people. (Revelation 5:9).
Isaiah 63
Isa 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Edom: Red. The land Esau settled in. Lets go back to chapter 34 in Isaiah. For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. (Isaiah 34:5). The two-edged sword of (Revelation 1:16). Upon Idumea: This would be "Edom" (the elder twin-brother of Jacob), "Esau," and the region occupied by him), or the red nation "Rush," i.e. "Russia," the nation marked for destruction. Those nations who do not trust in the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14-17). The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. (Isaiah 34:6). Bozrah: Ancient capital of Edom. Edom will be involved when Jesus returns. (Isaiah 63:1-6, Revelation 19:17-18).
Isa 63:2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? Red: "adom," "Edom." Why are your clothes so red, as if you have been treading grapes? Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever. (Amos 1:11). The Lord says: The people of Edom have sinned again and again, and will not go unpunished. They chase their brother the Israelites with swords, showing them no mercy. They slashed them continually in their anger. (Ezekiel 25:12-14, Malachi 1:4).
Isa 63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. There are prophecies which intimate a great slaughter of the enemies of God and his people, which remain to be fulfilled. Those in (Ezekiel 38:1-23), and (Revelation 20:1-15), are called Gog and Magog. This prophecy of Isaiah may possibly refer to the same, or the like event.
Isa 63:4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. The time has come for "Christ" to avenge His people. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. (Luke 21:22). The days of God's vengeance and the prophetic words of Scripture will be fulfilled. (Luke 4:18-21). Again, These scriptures came true today. "It has come to pass!" This is known as the "Gap Theory" between the first advent and the second advent. (Isaiah 61:1-3), to proclaim the "acceptable year of the Lord" and the day of vengeance of our God! The first advent is when Christ came as a babe, to "heal the broken hearted," a "lamb led to the slaughter to be crucified" for the sins of the world. (Psalms 147:3). The second advent is when He comes as "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" to rule with an iron rod of vengeance. (Malachi 4:1-3).
Isa 63:5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. I was amazed to see no one intervened to help the oppressed. No one helped, so Jesus will step in and rescue His people.
Isa 63:6 And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth. He will crush the nations in His anger, and they will fall to the ground like drunks. (Revelation 16:6, 16:9, 18:3-6).
Isa 63:7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. Who is speaking here? It could be Isaiah, or it could be Israel. I believe "the house of Israel." (Isaiah 5:7).
Isa 63:8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. They are My people and surely they will not fail Me again. "He became their Savior."
Isa 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. In their suffering, He also suffered, and He rescued them. Angel of His presence. Reference to: (Exodus 14:19, 23:20, 21:33). Redeemed them. Reference to: (Exodus 15:13). Bare them. Reference to: Exodus 19:4, Deuteronomy 1:31, 32:18). The same goes for us now. Jesus feels your pain and knows everything you are going through. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7). Give all your worries and cares to God and He will handle it.
Isa 63:10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. But they rebelled: Reference to: (Exodus 15:24, Numbers 14:11).
Isa 63:11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him? They remembered the days of old. In the future sense, when the people are deceived by antichrist, the Jews will remember the days of Moses when God rescued them. Now they will wonder if God will rescue them again.
Isa 63:12 That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
Isa 63:13 That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
Isa 63:14 As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
Isa 63:15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained? Their questions now turn to a plead and prayer. They want the mercy and power of the Lord to return to them. (Psalm 77:7-9).
Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Surely you are still are Father! Reference to: (Deuteronomy 32:6). Even though Abraham and Jacob would disown us, you would still be our Father. (God will never let His children down).
Isa 63:17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance. A plea to the Lord for help. A plea for the return of Jesus, for the tribes that are His special possession.
Isa 63:18 The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary. We briefly possessed the Holy place (Temple Mount), and now your enemies have destroyed it. Currently under Muslim control, but not for long. Jesus would say: And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. (Matthew 24:2). Christ replied; Not one stone shall be left upon another, and all these buildings will be destroyed. (This was not in 70 AD, when Titus destroyed the temple), this is future prophecy for the end times at Christ's return.
Isa 63:19 We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name. Reference to (Jeremiah 10:25). Pour out your fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate. (Jeremiah 10:25). i.e. Pour out your wrath on the nations that refuse to acknowledge you. The land will be a desolate wilderness. (Prophecy for the end times). That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this. (Amos 9:12). Israel will possess what is left of Edom and all the nations that the Lord has called to be His.
Isaiah 64
Isa 64:1 Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, The mountains quake in your presence! (Their prayer continues from the last chapter).
Isa 64:2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! The coming of the Lord like fire would make the nations tremble. "Keep in mind that God is a consuming fire." For our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29). God is a consuming fire that will warm the hearts of those who love Him, but will take vengeance on those who do not know Him and follow Satan. (2 Thessalonians 1:8).
Isa 64:3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. Thou didst terrible things: Reference to (Exodus 34:10, Deuteronomy 4:34, Judges 5:4-5).
Isa 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. Since the beginning of time there has been no other God like you, who works for those who wait for Him. The apostle Paul would say: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9). (Isaiah 64:4-8, 1 Peter 1:12, James 2:5). But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (1 Corinthians 2:10). "God reveals His deep secrets to us through the Spirit.” (Amos 3:7, Matthew 13:11, 1 John 2:20).
Isa 64:5 Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved. God welcomes the righteous (Acts 10:35), but He also welcomes the sinner. (Those who repent and come to the Lord).
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. We are infected and impure with sin. Even our righteousness is seen as filthy rags. Paul again would explain it best: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. (Romans 7:18). Nothing good lives within us concerning our sinful nature. When we listen to our sinful nature within we cannot do what is right. (Galatians 5:17), Our flesh always wants to do wrong and what is the opposite or against the Holy Spirit. Just as the Holy Spirit wants to do what is right and what is the opposite or against the flesh.
Isa 64:7 And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. No one to blame but themselves. If you do not want to repent and ask the Heavenly Father to forgive you sins, He will turn from you. I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. (Hosea 5:15). I will return to My place until they admit their guilt and turn to Me. When the trouble comes, they will search for Me. (Proverbs 1:27-28, Jeremiah 2:27, Zephaniah 2:1-3). And so it is today, people always seem to turn to God when the trouble starts. "He will return from His place in Heaven at the second advent." Be ready for Him and do not be deceived. Stay in His Word so that you can show yourself approved by God. (2 Timothy 2:15).
Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. God formed us all from the clay, now He wants to mold you. As for Israel. O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as the potter? Saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. (Jeremiah 18:6). God can do this to Israel just as the potter’s hand.
Isa 64:9 Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people. God will forget your sins forever (Jeremiah 31:34), if you are sincere and repent. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9). If we confess our sins we can count on God to wash away all our sins because Christ became that one time sacrifice for our sins.
Isa 64:10 Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. Your cities destroyed and Jerusalem is a desolate ruin. Referring to the future: Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. (Matthew 23:38). Why? Because the abomination of desolation will appear there. (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11). And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. (Matthew 24:2). Christ replied; Not one stone shall be left upon another, and all these buildings will be destroyed. (This was not in 70 AD, when Titus destroyed the temple), this is future prophecy for the end times at Christ's return.
Isa 64:11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste. Speaking of the Temple in the end time as in (Matthew 24:2).
Isa 64:12 Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore? How long will you punish us? (Psalm 80:3-4).
Isaiah 65
Isa 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. Quoted in Romans: But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. (Romans 10:20). The prophet Isaiah spoke very boldly for God. He would say; "I was found by people who were not looking for Me. I showed Myself to those who were not asking for Me." (Isaiah 65:1) But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. (Romans 10:21). Paul was telling us that Isaiah would go on to say regarding Israel; God says, "All day long I opened My arms to them, but they were disobedient and rebellious." (Isaiah 65:2), Describing people who never listen and are always arguing against you. Hard headed people who will never listen to the truth. Hmmm, have you ever met anyone like that?
Isa 65:2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; God opened His arms to a rebellious people (Deuteronomy 31:27, Jeremiah 5:23), but they continued in their own evil ways. (Matthew 15:19, James 1:14-15).
Isa 65:3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; They insult Me all day long with their idols and pagan gods. (The same goes today for those who teach false doctrine and traditions of men). God doesn't like it.
Isa 65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels; At night they try communicating with the dead and eat unclean foods. (Leviticus 11:7, Deuteronomy 145:8).
Isa 65:5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. Holier than thou! They call themselves holy, but are just a stench to God. Do you know anyone who acts "Holier than thou, but never comes to the truth?" (We call them hypocrites).
Isa 65:6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom, God pays back those who go against His ways.
Isa 65:7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom. Both for their own sins and that of their ancestors. (idol worshippers).
Isa 65:8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all. He will not destroy them all, for there is a good remnant (His true servants). For the elects sake (Matthew 24:22, Mark 13:20). "Future prophecy."
Isa 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there. A seed: Further reference to the new Israel.
Isa 65:10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me. Sharon: (Isaiah 33:9, 35:2). Achor: (meaning troubled), (Joshua 7:24-26, Hosea 2:15).
Isa 65:11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. Because you have forsaken the Lord, and forgotten His Temple. You prepare a feast for troop (a Babylonian deity, god of fate), and the drink offering to the god of destiny.
Isa 65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. Because of this, you are destine for the sword. Why? "They did not listen to His call." (Proverbs 1:29).
Isa 65:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: His servants will eat, drink, and rejoice. Those who do not serve Him will starve, be thirsty, sad and ashamed. Reference to Matthew 21. Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. (Matthew 21:43). The Kingdom of God will be taken away from them, and will be given to a nation (or those) who will give God His share of the crop. Those who have the truth and please the Father. Who's team do you want to be on?
Isa 65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. God's servants will sing for joy! (James 5:13). The others will not. (Matthew 8:12).
Isa 65:15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name: Another name: Hephzibah "God's delight." (Isaiah 62:4). God's delightful name for us today is "Christian." (Christ Man). His children will also be called "children of the living God." (Romans 9:26).
Isa 65:16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. Take an oath to the God of truth. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6). Jesus couldn't make it any clearer than this statement: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father except through Me." "Christ shows us the way through example." "He gives us the truth through the Word of God." "He gives us eternal life because He defeated death at the crucifixion."
Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. New heavens and New earth. (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1-5).
Isa 65:18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. Jerusalem will be a place of happiness and her people a source of joy.
Isa 65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. God will rejoice over Jerusalem and His people will be His delight. No more tears, no more pain, no more death. (Revelation 21:4).
Isa 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. No more death to the child only a few days old. Adults won't die before their time, and you won't be considered old at one hundred. Why? Because when Jesus returns, we will be in our spirit bodies. (Only those who do not accept Him, the enemies of God will die).
Isa 65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. We will be fed the Spirit of truth.
Isa 65:22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. Mine elect: Chosen ones. Those who do not worship the beast in the end times. (Revelation 20:3-5).
Isa 65:23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. Labour in vain: Just the opposite of: (Deuteronomy 28:41). Seed of the blessed: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. (Romans 9:7). Being descendants of Abraham doesn't necessarily make them truly Abraham's children. It would be Isaac, his son through whom Abraham's descendants would be counted. (Genesis 17:19, Hebrews 11:18), Remember that Abraham had other children also. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. (Romans 9:8). In other words, Abraham's physical descendants are not necessarily children of God. Only the children of the promise through Isaac. (Galatians 4:28), We are all part of God's children just as God promised, just as Isaac was. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29). If we are of Christ, then we are true descendants of Abraham, and all of the promises to him belong to us also. (Romans 8:17, 9:7, Hebrews 11:18).
Isa 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. I will answer them even before they call. (Psalm 91:15, Mark 11:24). And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (1 John 5:14). We can be sure that God will listen to us whenever we ask for anything in line with His will. (Ask for things of the spirit, or wisdom to help you in teaching His Word). God loves that! And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (1 John 5:15). If we really know He is listening when we talk to Him, then we can be sure He will answer us.
Isa 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD. No more carnivorous animals. The serpent will eat the dust. (Genesis 3:14-15). No one will hurt or destroy God's Holy Mountain. However, Satan (the dragon, that old serpent called the devil), will be cast to the earth and bound for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:2). He will be loosed for a short time. (Revelation 20:7). Then he will be cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:10). Satan is turned to ashes forever. Blotted out! (Ezekiel 28:18-19).
Isaiah 66
Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? Heaven is the throne of God, and the earth His footstool. (Psalm 132:7, Matthew 5:34-35). Where is His resting place? Quoted in: (Acts 7:48-50).
Isa 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. The Lord made everything, heaven and earth and everything in them. (Colossians 1:17, Hebrews 1:2). He will bless those who are humble, and of poor spirit. "One who realizes they need God in their lives." (Psalm 51:17, Matthew 5:3-4).
Isa 66:3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. All their sacrifices were done for the wrong reasons. People do the same today when they go to church because it seems like the right thing to do. They may pray, but it is usually when they are in trouble or want something. They may read their bible, because it makes them feel that they are pleasing God. Then they continue in their sinful ways of the world. God is not happy with this behavior. He wants you to do these things because you really want to, and you want to learn the truth. God wants you to repent and turn from sin and the ways of the world.
Isa 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. When people do things mentioned in the last verse, God will send them strong delusion. (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Why? Because when He speaks through His Word, many do not listen. They follow false teachings and traditions of men. They sin before the eyes of God and do what they know is wrong. God does not like it.
Isa 66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. When you truly follow the Lord, many people are going to ridicule you. (Matthew 5:10-12, 10:22). Many of these people despise the word and believe in the ways of man. "The ways of the world." (Proverbs 13:13, 1 John 3:13).
Isa 66:6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies. Vengeance against the enemies of the Lord. (Zechariah 14:3, Amos 2:16).
Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. She brought forth: Birth of a new nation, or news world age. All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:8). When you see these things, this is only the beginning of the horrors to come in the end times. This word sorrows is labor pains. It is the beginning of a new world age. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: (Revelation 12:1). The woman represents Israel or a type. And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. (Revelation 12:2). Her delivery represents a birth of a new world age. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. (Revelation 12:3). A sign in heaven... The great red dragon is Satan, and he utilizes the same government as he did in the first earth age. In the first earth age he wanted the mercy seat of God. He no longer wanted to serve God, but wanted to be like God. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. (Revelation 12:4). The stars of heaven are the children of heaven. Satan's tail represents his flood of lies as he drew 1/3 of the angels in the first earth age. Now we switch to the woman in this earth age who represents the virgin Mary giving birth to her child. Satan wanted to destroy Him but failed. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (Revelation 12:5). The man child would be Christ who ascended into heaven and would return in the second advent.
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Have you ever seen or heard anything like this before? Has a nation ever been born in one day? (Modern Israel became a nation in 1948). Their will be a birth of a new Kingdom and new earth age at the return of Christ.
Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. God would never keep this nation from being born. (When He sets out to do something, He finishes His work).
Isa 66:10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: Be glad for Jerusalem! Prophecy is being fulfilled. We are to love Jerusalem and all that Christ will do for her in the end times.
Isa 66:11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. The hills shall flow with milk, and the rivers shall flow with waters. (Joel 3:18).
Isa 66:12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. Jerusalem will have peace and prosperity. The wealth of the nations (Gentile nations), will flow to her.
Isa 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be comforted like a mother comforts her child.
Isa 66:14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. As soon as you see these things. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. (Malachi 3:18). At this time of judgment we will all see the difference between the righteous and the wicked. Between those who serve God and those who do not. (Daniel 12:1-3, Matthew 25:46).
Isa 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. The Lord is coming with fire. For our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29). God is a consuming fire that will warm the hearts of those who love Him, but will take vengeance on those who do not know Him and follow Satan. (2 Thessalonians 1:8, 2 Peter 3:10-12).
Isa 66:16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. Again, punished by fire, but also by His sword. What is the sword of the Lord? And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17). You will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, "the two edged sword of Christ" (Revelation 1:16), which is the Word of God.
Isa 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. Those who make fancy displays (they look so holy), and worship their idols (images), of other gods. Those who are unbelievers (pagans), will come to a terrible end.
Isa 66:18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. God knows the thoughts of the wicked. (John 5:42, Revelation 2:2). Reference to the kenites: I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. (Revelation 2:9). We are not speaking of our brother Judah, but those who claimed to be Jews and were not. We are speaking of the Kenites who were the sons of Cain, the first murderer, who are sons of the devil. (John 8:42-44) A church must know the truth and not be afraid to teach it. Knowing who the children of Satan are (The Kenites), and teach it. Does your church teach this? Or does it teach a bunch of fairy tales, lies, and traditions of men. (Read our study topic titled: Sons of Cain). You can't fool God, He knows our thoughts. (1 Corinthians 3:20, Hebrews 4:12).
Isa 66:19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. Speaking of the remnant of saved Israel. "God's elect will bring the truth to the world." (Millennium teaching will be taking place).
Isa 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. Bring those who were scattered back to Jerusalem. (Isaiah 60:4). (Back to the Holy Land).
Isa 66:21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. Just as the new heavens and new earth will remain (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1), so will God's people. (Matthew 28:20, John 10:27-29, 1 Peter 1:4-5).
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. All humanity will come to worship the Lord. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (John 4:23). The time is coming and is here now when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth. This is what the "Heavenly Father" is looking for in a Christian. (I Peter 2:9-10), A chosen generation (Generation of the fig tree), or the last generation. Those who know the truth and had His calling because they love God. "It's all coming depended on the repentance of the nation, when all the prophecies would have been fulfilled." (Acts 3:18-26).
Isa 66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. Possibly speaking after the battle of Armageddon. (Zechariah 14:12, Revelation 19:17-21). And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. (Zechariah 14:12). The Lord will send a plague on all the nations that fought against Jerusalem. "Tested by fire, because God is a consuming fire. He can warm the hearts of His people while He consumes the rudiments of evil." (Revelation 18:8). And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; (Revelation 19:17). A feast for the birds of the earth.
That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. (Revelation 19:18). Again, this is for the enemies of God. When the seventh trump sounds, we are changed to out spirit bodies. Zechariah 14:12, gives a good explanation of what happens to the flesh at this time.
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. (Revelation 19:19). The evil creature gathers the governments of the earth (the one world political system) and their armies to fight against the army of God.
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Revelation 19:20). The one world political system and anti-Christ. Those who worship him and had received his mark of deception. (Revelation 13:11-16) Remember Satan has many rolls. He will have another short reign, but his roll as anti-Christ is over. (The sad part is that some will still follow him).
And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. (Revelation 19:21). The two edged sword of His mouth! The birds of the air feasted on the flesh or their bodies. What a time it will be at the return of the Lord. You don't need to worry my friend if you are in Christ. God is not out to destroy you, only the enemy, those who follow the antichrist, and are not part of the family of God.
Keep The Faith,Barton
