When we see all the evil deplorable things taking place in the world today; we can't help but think that we are all on the highway to hell. Satan's evil power has advanced upon the world, and we are taken to a new level in time that will hold the key to our future, or the destruction of a great nation. We are taking God out of this country and replacing Him with political correctness, abominable actions, corruption, perversion, and atheistic ideas. Following this path has destroyed many cities and nations in the past and will continue to destroy this nation if we do not return to the ways and laws of God that this great nation was built upon. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (Psalm 9:17). The writing is on the table, it happened before and it will happen again.
God gave us one terrifying example with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. What was their abominable sin? Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 1:7). It was the perverted wickedness of the flesh that got them into trouble. We just fluff it off and make it into a glorious thing, anything goes in this country, we are the greatest country in the world. Not any more!
In the book of Matthew, Christ tells us; Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (Matthew 7:13). The narrow gate is the way to righteousness and to heaven. The wide path is the ways of the world, the highway to hell. (Those who always want to take the easy way out). You have two paths, or gates to follow. Reference: (Deuteronomy 30:14-18). Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:14). The gateway to life is small and the road is narrow. "Only a few will find it." What path will you take? You don't want it to be on the "highway to hell" like the fallen angels followed. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment. (2 Peter 2:4). Speaking of those who left their habitation and came to earth to seduce the daughters of Adam. (Genesis 6:1-2, Jude 1:6). These were some bad angels that followed Satan, but are now chained in the underworld by God until their judgment takes place. "People feared these angels, but these bad angels did not fear God." However, we have nothing to fear, for Satan and his angels have no power over us any longer. Our fear should be what God can do.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28). You don't need to fear those who can only kill your physical body. (They can't touch your soul). Only God can destroy your soul. The word "destroy" here in the Strong's Concordance is G622 "apollumi" meaning to perish). God can blot you out as though you never existed. The good news, God gives everyone a chance for salvation and eternal life. The bad news, And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Revelation 20:13). The second death is the death of the soul. (Matthew 10:28). Blotted out forever!
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). The Lord is not being slow about His return and promise of eternal life, He is just being patient for our sake. His will is that everyone come to repentance and no one should perish. He wants everyone to believe in Him, "He just wants our love." (Hosea 6:6). God wants all His souls if possible to be written in the book of life, but some will not make it. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14). Are you in the book of life? Remember that all who are not in the book of life will be blotted out for ever.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23). It is your choice; the road to heaven, or the highway to hell. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God leads to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. (John 4:36).
